Through The Lense of Scorpio Options

I have been working on this layout for about the past week. it looks quite simple, i wanted it to showcase my work without stealing focus. comments are appreciated (:

.... Lense... Isn't standard. Unless it's some sort of acronym? Okay. Getting over the glaring weirdly spelled word.
The navigation bar would look better faded, so you can continue the theme of fading gray. And the blue is kinda... Out of place. You don't use it anywhere in the main image and generally you pull colours similar to those of your main image to use in your colours. The lighter gray of the showcase section would be more... Uniform. Other than that, it's really nice.

lense is a variant of 'lens' I just liked it with the e.

the only part of the gray bars that is faded is the months images... i may change thoose to not be faded though, they do seem a bit out of place.

the blue sub-navigation box is blue to match the text colour. gray may be cool too but i am weary to have a complete layout bnw?

Yeah, I know. Why is why I didn't say it was misspelled. I just said it wasn't standard. =X
And the top bar isn't faded? Your main images, the stip of gray is faded, isn't it? That's why I was thinking it'd be better if the navigation bar was faded. The only reason I said that the blue was out of place was then your colour artwork shocase section would really pop and the site would really be about the artwork. -shrug- Maybe I'm over analyzing.
