During my math class today, we had a substitute.
It was this old guy..and we never even told his name to my class. He was strange and very crazy..as in kicking out anyone that makes one sound, like dropping the pencil on the floor. pinch.gif

Well, one of my classmates, got out of his seat. The sub told him to get to his seat. He said "No." And then he started cursing at the sub...

And then guess what happpened?

THE SUB WENT TO HIM AND PUT HIS HANDS AROUND THE KID'S NECK AND LITERALLY STRANGLED HIM. The whole class screamed. And then my classmate got red in the face and couldn't breath, at all. We had to take hin to the nurse, where they called an ambulance and took him away. ohmy.gif

Everyone didn't dare move or say a thing after that.It was such a scary experience! Talk about child abuse.. _unsure.gif

what a freak that sub is. _dry.gif

I certainly hope you reported that substitute.
Err. Well, I'm sure it was..with an ambulance and all.
But still. That's just weird. I always like to wonder about my teachers, especially substitutes, and see what could have cause them to have a such a sudden "bad" day.

It's fun to watch people.

Uh. But not strangle students, no :x.

The craziest thing I heard happen was...one of our Mandarin teachers (Ms. Lu, if you ever end up taking the course), threw a textbook at one of her students because they were being a dumbass.

But yeah, this is pretty extreme. =\

laugh.gif, I heard about Ms. Lu before. I always hear my brother bitching about her. Since he takes her Mandarin class & he doesn't even know more then 5 words.
I can't wait till highschool rolleyes.gif. The teachers seem so much more interesting then ours.
Actually now that I think about it there was this one time a teacher when crazy & picked up a student's desk in the front of the room & threw in the air across the room to the back. Makes me laugh everytime I think about it laugh.gif. The classroom was right beside my & it was scary as hell at the time, felt like a earthquake mellow.gif.

My subs have shoved students off a desk, threw them into chalkboards, and gotten into actual fights with students. But it wasn't always the subs fault, they were usually provoked. Either way it's funny now but sure wasn't back then.

I'm sure they were in shock.

Your substitute went way too far. What the hell was his problem? You're not supposed to strangle anyone, especially for something so petty.

I realized after I made that post that she is really young, but someone could have called 911 on a cell phone, pulled the fire alarm or run to another classroom for help. That teacher would have been jumped by the students where I used to live in Cali. There was a rape in school that made the national news this year. I'm not used to people just watching stuff like that happen.

Lol...all I can think of that's funny at my school is when this kid sat on his desk and it broke.

4 of the guys all jumped onto one of their desks (they fit...really. it was amazing :O )...and it didn't even crack. laugh.gif

Wow, one crazy teacher.

We had a situation like that our school, some student teacher threw a chair at a student and the kid was out cold for ages. The teacher immediately ran away from school and luckily enough police caught up with him, then he was fined.

A number of things like this have happened in my school, so yeah it's scary.

Jesus christ. If you had to send him to the ambulence, I sure as hell hope someone called the police on him afterwards.

Man..if I saw that happening, I'd hop out of my seat and hit him on the head with my math book. It'd be heavy enough.

You think that the teacher's actions were justified?? Just because someone told him, "no," that gives him the right to strangle the student? He could have killed him!

If he doesn't want to deal with juds for 7 hours a day then he should quit and do something else. Plus, if he was a good teacher, students wouldn't be a pain in the ass. Hell, if he was good he'd be a real teacher instead of a substitute.

of course, his actions aren't justified, but i'm saying you have to look at the teacher's perspective, as well. OF COURSE it was wrong of him to do what did, blahblahblahwtstfu yeah.

something like that happened when I was in fourth (or was it fifth..?) grade. one of my friends that I knew at the time didn't especially like our substitute (no one did) and, in the end, the substitute decided that she needed to leave the classroom. she grabbed her at the neck, and headed towards the door. after that, I really don't remember what happened, but from what other people say, she couldn't breathe that well and tried to choke the teacher in return.

that's just how I remember it... I don't really remember much else. _unsure.gif

_dry.gif

rofl1.gif same kinda thing happened in my 5th grade class a few years back... damn sub started to strangle my friend Erica and Greg jumped on her and was punching her and sh!t and everybody was spilling out of the doorway running to go tell the principal and some kid's like "OUR SUB IS F***ING TRYING TO KILL HER!!!" rofl1.gif

a sub slapped me in the face once.

that's about it.

strangling is a bit much. although, some regular teachers at my old school have come pretty close to beating students up. one punched a kid. in the face. it was brilliant.

When I was in 2nd grade, everyone just watched my teacher strangle this girl who was new. she was always crying, i guess she was too emotional? but anyways she was crying a lot every hour, so my teacher got sick of it and told her to shut her mouth and was strangling her.

some guys were laughing. i was scared!!!!!!!! but other people are like doing nothing. we just stared that's all we did mellow.gif

Holy crap.
If I were in that classroom, and he put his hands on MY neck, I would do something about it. Like I don't know, slap him? Then, I'll report him. I can imagine myself doing that now.. laugh.gif

That's scary as hell... the same thing happened here only it was a full-time teacher that was playing around and put a piece of scotch tape on one of her student's mouths. Apparently, a parent walked by and reported it to the police. The teacher got fired and banned from the school district.

I hope that sub gets some time in jail for assault. And then some counseling for anger management afterward. That's one of the craziest stories I've ever heard.

Honestly, your classmate should not have been cursing at the sub. Yes, the sub was wrong for strangling your classmate, because not only is that action extreme, it may leave emotional scars on not only that one kid, but also on the rest of you guys. However, students need to learn to respect their teachers. Your classmate needs to do so. And people need to understand that substitute teachers are humans as well; he may be having a bad day, as could any of us.

A few months ago, a teacher at my school threw a student either at the wall or on a desk.

Once in summer school, a teacher got frustrated at my friend, and he hurled a volleyball at him. My friend dodged it, though, and it hit me in the face. Yeah... don't ask.

I would have at least tried to fight back, I mean if he's an old guy I think I could take him. biggrin.gif (but then again I wouldn't have been cussing at him in the first place)
