That's the thing, I do hear blacks calling other blacks the "N" word in a derogatory sense. More often than not. And just because the word isn't used in a derogatory manner every single time doesn't mean that it never is. Which is the problem.

And just because I'm not black, means that it doesn't affect me? Racial differences shouldn't determine what does and does not affect people.

But I don't see what's so wrong about saying nigga. If you say it at the right time, anyways. I'd probably get my ass jumped if I went up to some random black guy & went like, "what's good, nigga," but if you're close friends w/ the person you're saying it to, they most likely won't get offended.

Umm..I really don't think anyone who isn't black should be throwing around that word with their non-black friends.

Maybe the word itself doesn't affect me as greatly as it does to black people. But it has to do with racism, and racism affects everyone, because everyone has a race. I'm just strongly against racism and since this topic is about the "N" word, I pointed my posts towards that subject.

And in fact, my boyfriend is black and he does not like the word.
But my whole opinion on the matter of racism and the "N" word, isn't biased on the fact that he's my boyfriend or that he's black. It's an opinion of my own.
