Its very painful for me to watch SNL these days. To be honest with you I don't think its been funny since 1997. Sure I laughed at the occasional Will Ferrell sketch but really not funny since 1997.

When do you think it stopped being funny? Or do you still find it funny?

I know!! I noticed too. It was so much funnier "then", but like .. Chris Farley died. And .. everything's been pretty dull. Especially since they've been having really crappy celebrity hosts like Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan who aren't even funny. But whatever. I like Chris Kattan and Will Ferrell's skits a lot though.

It's amusing, not down right slap my knee hilarious.

Idk, I end up laughing at anything that's even the slightest bit funny these days.

Watched it once.

Not impressed. I heard it was a good show too.

yeah, it is in a down period, but I don't think it's fair to say that it hasn't been funny since '97, since there's a lot off different eras. A lot of my favorite sketches were from the late 90s, early 2000s. Overall, it's in a rut, but it's not entirely unfunny. I watch still because it's habitual, and I do like a fair amount of the cast and I actually find it interesting to watch to see when it is or isn't funny. I don't know. it always has had its ups and downs, and they're mainly contingent on when one started watching, because that period usually has enough sentimental value that it seems the funniest, regardless of whether it actually was or not.
