by a break up. One time, I dated this
girl for about half of a year, and we
decided to break up because we just
lost the "spark" for each other. Man,
was that the hardest thing to deal
with. She ended up dating my really
good friend, which tore me up even
more. I was a hermit. I never left
the house. I don't know..maybe I
over-exaggerated. But still, it was
way horrible.

I think the last break up I had was by far the worst. I didn't allow myself to go cold turkey and we ended up hooking up a few times. That just made it so much harder to get over him. And now, I can barely be around him. He has become such a player and a jerk. He isn't the person I fell in love with anymore and it makes me so sad and feel like an idiot.

Hrm, my last ex-boyfriend, ugh.

We were together for six and a half months, and for about two of those months this girl wanted to take him away from me. She did so many things to cause unecessary drama. There were rumors flying around, giving me reason to suspect my ex of cheating during the last month that we were together. I asked him about this, asking for the truth. I just wanted the truth, but in the end I found out he lied all along.

One day I was walking with my friend around our neighborhood back in California, when we saw my ex and the girl making out and practically all over each other, in front of my church. Nice, hm? I walked up to him, eyes full of tears, and hateful words pouring out of my mouth. I punched him in the face and slapped her. It was really hard to deal with for me, 'cause he was my longest lasting relationship and I truly loved him. I don't take relationships lightly and it took about four months for us to actually get together.


I hated him so much for it, and what's sad is that after we broke up, I still loved him for a few months afterwards. He's tolerable now though, I still talk to him through myspace a little less than often. But I'll never forgive him. It took me two and a half years for me to finally fall in love again with someone new.

I'm very happy now.

I caught my boyfriend chatting with other girls on MY COMPUTER! I even found the girls' numbers on his phone under a guy's name! AND, I've even talked to these girls! (he's done this 3 times)

I cried the 1st time, got angry the 2nd, then on the third time...I just said: "I just don't care anymore...if you don't believe that no one will care for you as much as I do...then you're really effin' dumb to keep this up."

He hasn't done it ever since. Then when he tells me he loves me...I just say..."yea right!" Then he REALLY REALLY gets pissed and cries about it...and makes me call every single person on his phone...and made me call all those other girls back...and baby me for a year!

It felt good to have that power over him!

I haven't been in an awful break up....this is just my first awful, "close to breaking up" kinda thing.

I'm generally not much one for any sort of "long-term" relationship, so I haven't ever had a break-up per se. I've had things with girls I was dating just kind of fizzle out, though. It doesn't sound like a big deal, but when things don't have a definitive start or a definitive end, they can seem to drag on for an extended period of time. Last year, during the fall semester, I starting hanging out with this really cool girl, and we eventually started dating, sort of. And everything was going well, but then she went to Australia to study abroad, and we didn't see each other for eight months or so. And when she got back…eh, things didn't seem the same. They just kind of fizzled out. Perhaps some hangups, vestiges of old relationships still in my mind, got in the way, and I assumed things were over and just forgot about the whole thing. In retrospect, I wish I had tried harder. She was pretty cool. I've never really met anyone quite like her.

That kills me, seriously. My last relationship ended a few weeks after he told me he had slept with another woman (a co-worker of all things) and had discovered that he was going to be a "daddy." He was so ridiculously emotionally selfish about the whole thing. I was actually willing to see him through it, but with all the "poor me" crap he was dishing, I couldn't deal. It was hard enough knowing that he went to work everyday and would see her. I just didn't (nor do I now) have patience for the type of pathetic weakness he so often showed. Seriously, I don't want that type of self centered behavior around my son or myself quite frankly. On a side note - I haven't been able to trust anyone since.

Regarding the cutting commentary - Chii was just saying that he shouldn't blame himself for a girl mutilating herself because of a break up. Don't begrudge her speaking her mind as I don't believe you would appreciate being cut off (no pun intended) from speaking your mind.

Surprisingly, he apologized to me and said that we are not meant to be and some stuff.. so i told him that it doesn't matter anymore coz i dont need you to make my life complete. I can survive without you in the picture..

Well, i'm happy we broke up though..
And i'm happy with the one i'm with right now.

And to the rest, always bear in mind that break up is not necessarily a bad thing. At least u get to learn something from the previous relationship, get wiser and move on to search for the right one..

Oh man, I have LOTS...

One was this guy who's ex girlfriend found out we were dating & she convinced him EVERYDAY to break up with me, she even forced him to call me & break up with me on HER cell phone. Good thing I had my phone off & he told me to erase the message & to not listen to it [ I did anyway, duh ] but eventually she won because he called & broke up with me then had the nerve to start a sentence with "well now that me and Nikki are TOGETHER" wait wait, so you didnt even break up with me before getting back with her?!

Then this other guy totally forgot it was my birthday even though they announced it on the loud speaker at school & broke up with me. On my birthday. This was four years ago, he still kisses my ass & says sorry haha!

But THE WORST OF THEM ALL was my recent ex who I was dating for six months. He was psychotic & controlling. And everytime we fought he'd write bad stuff about me in his AIM profile, his LJ, everywhere. And over the summer, he "attempted" suicide because I wouldnt get my teacher to sign him for his 100 hours [ to graduate, its required you do community service at some schools for a certain amout of hours ] that he DIDNT do. So he was "rushed to the hospital" but he was online AT the hospital saying he had a 38% chance of living. Yeah, right. But you're on AIM. I knew this was a lie the whole time cause when he was online, I'd call his house -- busy. Plus his AIM profile was still up. Mmmhmm. I'm not stupid!

Anyway, I was also getting closer to one of my friends [ but he didnt really know this ] & I couldnt stand coming home from school being miserable because I knew he was gonna call & guilt me & blah blah blah. So one day, I eventually was like "you know, I dont love you anymore. You're psychotic, leave me alone".

I knew exactly what he was gonna do. He called every phone in my house -- even my PARENTS cell phones [ he did this EVERY TiME we fought for SiX MONTHS ] to yell at me. So I turned off everyone's phone. Then he posted MY phone number on his AIM profile saying stuff like "if you want your d**k sucked call this number". For about a whole week he kept calling my house & telling all my friends that if I dont talk to him this & that. Saying he was gonna call the cops on me, on something my brother said to him online & told his friends that he was gonna bomb my house. Not to mention he sent all these emails to me & left SO many comments on my LJ. Telling me it was a disgrace being with me, that his life would have been so much better with me in it, that I dont even deserve love from my PARENTS then turn around & say sorry & that he didnt say that & he would never say things like that. Pffft. Whatever.

It was crazy. I'm glad its over though. And this was two years ago. I still have a hard time trusting people, in general. But my boyfriend [ the guy I was getting closer to, yeah we ended up together & are STiLL together ] went through the same exact thing right after I did. It was crazy, so we're like both paranoid lol.

Hmm. Probably the second time I broke up with my boyfriend. I was emotionally insecure, and I had just met someone else, and I was just sick of the distance to the point where I couldn't take it anymore, so I told him that we should break up.

He took it so bad that he went out with his friends, got drunk, got back home and drank more, called me and he said numerious horrible things to me, such as "you better hope I don't die, because you'd be a murderer".. then apparently passed out and had to be taken to the hospital..
