steam forum, or w/e you want to call it. Options

I think we should have a steam forum (i'm not to sure about the name i just thought "let off some steam"). Whenever we are pissed we could make a topic there and just yell about it and than people can comment it, or something. We could make the post count not count, if that's how you feel. We could also make a no bashing rule.....but i'm not too sure abut that one, because after all it is a steam forum. I know we already have the beef topic in the lounge, but this would be a bit different because you might be mad because you're moving or w/e. some things might belong in relationships though, for example: "I'm pissed at my dad b/c he took away my tv. we were really close" and etc etc, and ending with things such as "what should i do" would probably belong in relationships. In general I think this is a good idea, but like all of the things I said, maybe it isn't nessacary. So what's your opinion about it?

I see where you're going with this. Although many CBers can refer to the cB diary or MTA thread, this might be a good idea. Since post count doesn't count in the "steam forum" anyway, there would be no worry for spamming.

How about ... every thread cannot be reply. all the comments should be in personal message. that will limited public bashing.

yea that does sound kinda like a good idea, but what's the point of making a topic if people can't say "yea same here" or make comments [that aren't spamish]

Sorry, but I don't think this is necessary at all; I don't see a point to it. Some people say strange things when they're mad and I certainly wouldn't want to constantly read people's angry words. As you mentioned, anyone can blow off steam in the Message to Anyone or cB Diary threads and I think they would be the more appropriate places to do so.

I can see your point.

However, Message to Anyone is a good way to blow off some steam.
And if you actually want people to comment on your angry feelings because of someone, then usually it fits really well in "relationships".
Or the CB Diary in Writing also is a nice place to get the feelings out.
I don't think a whole sub-forum dedicated to blowing off steam is necessary, but it's a nice idea.

true, but maybe not everyone thinks that. what i'm asking for is people's opinions and such, maybe it isn't a good idea and maybe it is.

look its not like cB is so inundated with pissed people that we need to make a whole new forum to let everyone vent i think the "beef" thread and the "message to anyone" thread is sufficient enough to handle it all

I feel that there's already enough avenues for this concept (Beef thread, Message to Anyone, Diary) that we don't need a whole forum dedicated to it. Are people really that angry? Besides, if someone wants to vent, they have their own private ways to do so: Xanga, Livejournal, personal blog, MySpace blog, etc.

^ Definitely. And I don't think we need anymore forums as of right now. We simply have enough. Steaming would fall under relationships sometimes, or the locker rooms, even. There's always the Beef topic as well.
