It was supposed to be released LAST year (it was even featured in AP Magazine's Most Anticipated of 2005 issue) but Chris wasn't happy so they started over. But alas, a release date has finally been set. :)

I can't wait for it. I've been trying to get my hands on "Don't Wait" but to no avail... :(

Wow. I really haven't listened to them since A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar. pinch.gif I'm assuming if he wasn't happy with the first recording, this should be good. I should go get it. _smile.gif

Yeah. He even played "So Long, So Long" (which was basically him on the piano) back at an '04 concert and said it was going to be on the new album. Not sure if it's still gonna be on there, though. I hope it is because it's a great song.

You can listen to a 30 second clip of "Don't Wait" at their MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/dashboardconfessional

And they're going on tour soon in the US... pre-sale starts today: http://dashboard.ducatking.com

I'm going to either the NY or Boston concert. Definitely.

well is dashboard his band or is he in dashboard? if it's "his" band then i am wrong but it just always seems like none of the other band members get recognition.

and p.s. song in your sig is by gym class heroes <333

It's pretty much his band. He was the lead singer and songwriter of Further Seems Forever but then he started doing shows with more personal songs by himself and decided to call it Dashboard Confessional. And he left FSF and he added other band members and they became the Dashboard we now know and love. :) And he still does solo shows under the name.

But it's kind of weird how all the pictures on their MySpace are just of him... huh.gif

And yes, you are right! I'd give you five bucks if I had it... hahahhahaa.

"Don't Wait" is available for purchase at ITunes... you also get another free single, I forget what it's called though.

From what I heard of the new single (idk the name of it, I heard/saw it during credits on MTV), it sounds A LOT like Vindicated. really. -_- I really liked the lyrics, though. I'll have to look them up.

tomorrow! ahhhhh. i can't wait for it. it's gotten pretty good reviews, 3 and 4 stars out of 5. and they've gotten a lot of press for this record. they've got articles in spin, blender, ap and rolling stone this month. and i see them all over myspace (which is a good thing).

but still LOVE.

so long so long is my favorite. can't believe it's been two years since i've heard it live. and the album version features adam duritz (counting crows)! awesome.

i knew dashboard before there was even dashboard. meaning i listened to chris when he was in further seems forever. and then he started doing solo shows and dashboard was born... love.

if you read the spin article, apparently chris has been married since 2004. i heard rumors around that time of him having a wedding here in ct to the hands down girl. but his publicist had no comment. >.<

If you go to Best Buy and present your student ID, you can get a discount off the Dusk and Summer CD and get it for $6.99 apparently :D

I'm not the biggest fan of them, but, I saw Chris Cabrera (sp?) on MOD (on MuchMusic), and he seemed really nice. I think I'll wait and see how good their next single is, though, before buying their cd. =]

Ahh I just bought it today. I'm actually kinda disappointed.

Anyways, I guess its still worth the $10. So Long, So Long and Dont Wait are definately the best, if you're going to download any of the songs. happy.gif
