im soo sorry if this is in thee wrong forum (move it if it is) . well i just bought a laptop and this is my first time using it. although, when i try extracting something it says this:

It might be a bad file, maybe with a trojan in it. You probably got it after going on the internet. It was probably clean up until the point you downloaded something.

scan you computer with McAfee. i think it's probably a virus or trojan.
i think you should get a firewall or at least activate the Windows Firewall to prevent other viruses and stuff like that. and update McAfee with new virus definitions as much as possible. and use McAfee once a week, if possible.

I'd trust the alert there might be a virus in what you downloaded.

reinstall what? Windows and all the programs over again? besides, i don't think it's such a good idea, because she already has virus protestion, which can delete the virus.
