I agree with Lorena, you have to decide whether you like him or not. If you like him, flirt back and try to make something happen. If you don't like him tell and don't lead him on.

figure out if you like him or not
and if you do you should probably get to know him and then eventually have a relationship with him if you still like him... don't lead him on.. thats just rude... |

Get to know him more than see if you want to be with him.If a guy likes me..I see if I like them back.If I do..I get to know them more.If a guy that I don`t like..likes me..I just try to give friendship hints.

Well first, decide if you like him back. If you do, then start dropping hints, and flirt back with him. If you don't, please don't lead him on. Tell him ASAP that you don't. This will save a lot of heartache.

If you don't like him, you should say something like, "I really don't like you in that way, but, if you want, we can stay friends and maybe hang out sometime." If you do, just flirt back. I can't really explain it, it just comes naturally if you really like somebody.

you know it all depends on the person, usually the best thing you can do is talk about it... dont beat aorund the bush, but at the same time dont hit him with it like tiger woods. remember hints are a very bad idea in many cases... becuase most of the time... guys are stupid and dont get them at all... flirting may be confusing especially if you have treated him has a friend for such a long time... he may feel strange he may not... when it really comes down to it, its about not telling him how you feel (by accually saying it or showing it) without sending mixed messages... make sure you realy want to be in a relationship with this guy...

Part of being not able to tell really justs sounds like your unsure about what the outcome will be when you tell him. It seems like you would be devastated if he felt differently. Unfortunatly you're not 100% sure about how he feels, but what will happen if you don't tell him.
if you do tell him the worst that can happen is: - he says no (and from what you said it sounds like he likes you) if you don't tell him: - you will regret not telling him afterward or - your feelings will eventually subside or - you may not feel accepted by him for who you are... even as a friend becuase yit sound slike you do like him. or -other things could happen i mean, it seems like you really want to tell him, but you need someone to talk you into doing it... it seems like you feel awkward when you hang out becuase your not sharing somethign with him that you really feel the need to share... i dunno, if you want to doit than doit... and even if its rediculously hard to say put your best foot forward and doit |

i told him on AIM and he said that he doesnt want to go out with anyone right now. he was kinda acting like he liked me before i said how i felt. meh...now i feel kinda sad/stupid...its kinda mixed feelings.
