i never burned CD's before but here goes...

first of all, do you have a CD burner?

if so, make a new playlist on your iTunes library and then insert the CD and click the burn disc thing on the upper right corner.

i think that should do it. not sure though.

Unfortunately, there's no way to copy songs from an iPod without an separate program. On the Mac, you can use iPodRip. There are a few programs for Windows, but right now their names escape me.

Like mipadi said, you're gonna need a separate program to get the songs fro the iPod. Senuti (which is what I use) works really well with Mac. I prefer it because it organizes the songs into folders based in the ID3 tags... I've actually never used iPodRip, but I hear that's pretty good too.

For Windows, you can try using SharePod.

iPod Hacks

QUOTE
OK, so here's the situation. All my tunes are stored on my home PC. I also have a work laptop, but it's way too small to fit all my tunes on, and besides, who wants the hassle of maintaining 2 libraries?

Fine if all you want to do is listen - you can just plug you iPod in, de-select automatcially sync, and you can play from iTunes on your PC. Everyone knows that, right?

What annoyed me was that I wanted to share my music on the work network - so everyone could see how cool my musical taste was!! But iTunes won't let you do that. After trawling through Google without success, I found a way of doing it.

1) Plug your iPod in as usual. You get a blank library (having nothing on your laptop), but you can see all your songs on the iPod.
2) Open windows explorer, and change the folder options so that hidden files and folders are displayed.
3) Go to the removable drive that has appeared, and browse to the hidden folder iPod_Control. This is where all your mp3s are. Now do a search for all mp3 files, making sure you are searching subfolders, and that you are searching hidden files.
4) Drag the search results into your iTunes library. I reccomend doing it in batches of 2 - 300, as it will take a while.
5) That's it - your iTunes library is now looking directly at your iPod, and you can share it.

This will work as long as windows explorer always assigns the same drive letter to your iPod.

You'll need to repeat if you add new tunes, but you should be able to filter the search results by date.

Enjoy!

Havn't tried it out cuz I don't have an ipod yet. It's worth a try!

Haha! I had no idea you could do that.... The things you learn... laugh.gif

Now there's a solution simpler than what the rest of us have suggested _smile.gif
