Animated GIFs, Image displays as static image Options

I have an animated GIF that, when uploaded to my MySpace photo gallery, displays as a static (first frame only) image.

-The image is 30 frames.
-The image is 285k - less than the max (600k) allowed.
-If I upload/imbed the image elsewhere (e.g. email), it works correctly.
-I am viewing everything with Internet Explorer.

--I am using an old version of Photoshop/ImageReady (read: Version 5.5 and 2.0, respectively).
--I am saving the file via Save Optimized As as a Compuserve GIF.
--One seeming oddity I notice is that under the Advanced options, the save state reads Windows as not compatible:


Any suggestions?

Try using Jasc Animation, tutorial here.

Well, you don't really have to save it as optimized, I used regular "save as" and that makes my life easier in animating images.

Can you saved optimized as a regular gif?

to see if its the gif? it can be myspace uploader..

The tutorial is a good one, but it seems that the GIF I created is fine (I uploaded it to imageshack as suggested to further test it):


If anyone has any idea what might be the issue on the MySpace side of things (or any further advice), I'd appreciate it.

I don't think you can do much about the myspace one. Its probably something only tom or somone can fix.
