my friend won't leave me and my boyfriend alone. we've never even had one lunch together without her around. school is the only place we can hang out now 'cause I can't get out of the house anymore and she's driving me off a cliff with her clingyness! I swear, she's like a dog. she treats him like her slaave. it's totally ticking me off. I understand they're good friends but they spend more time together than we do. the reason I don't wanna say anything to her is because she's one of those people who find a way to turn something completely around and make you feel like an idiot. I HAATE that ]: all I want is me and my boyfriend to be alone for once, without her butting in at any time. I was so upset that I cried, I'm amazed at how jealoous and overprotective I'm being towards him 'cause I've never done anything like that. please give me some advice.

I know you don't want to do this, but you have to talk to her. Stay firm in your opinion and state it cleary. If she denies, tell her again - say that she's hurting you and offending you. If she's a real fried, then she should back off. And a word for the wise - your boyfriend isn't gonig to leave you if he loves you. Remember that. But it sounds like you just want tiem more than anything...
If anything, just explain that you would like one lunch a week (or more) alone with your boyfriend. After all, he deserves your attention too, right? (put it that way) You do have to realize that since you can't get out of the house and the only place to see him is school, that you can't devote all of your time to him - you have friends and you need to pay attention to them too. Make sure in all of this that you don't forget about your friends. |

Tell her. Or go somewhere new at lunch with only your boyfriend and avoid her at all costs. But that wouldnt be much fun. Just simply tell her it feels like your crowding you and your boyfriend and that you'd appreciate some time alone.

mmm i agree with everyone else in here. if you don't tell tell her, she'll keep doing it and she'll think that you're okay with it - which you're NOT! just tell her exactly how you feel and if she really IS a friend, she'll back off. and maybe you should talk to your boyfriend about it too - get his opinion on it.

Yeah, definitely talk to her. Tell her how you would like some time alone with your boyfriend during lunch, since it's the only time you see him. If she's a real friend to either of you, she'll listen and do it.

If nothing is said, nothing will be changed.
you KNOW you're not a complete idiot, dont let her manipulate you and him. |

if going up to her and telling her is too much of a direct approach, try hinting very broadly whenever she's around and you want her to go away - saying stuff like, "ok its boyfriend-girlfriend time now" or "shoo" or something like that. she might get the hint. also, definitely talk to your boyfriend about it, he should know how you feel.

Well, if you keep trying to push her away, you might push her away for good. Since you can't see your boyfriend outside of school, you probably can't see her either. Maybe she doesn't want the friendship to die out and is trying to make the most of it.
I think you should alternate days with your friends, your boyfriend, and all of you together. Like Mondays can be the day you all sit together, Tuesdays and Thursdays can be days with your friends and Wednesdays and Fridays can be with your boyfriend. Your life shouldn't revolve around your boyfriend and since you can't go out of the house too much anymore, you need to stay close to your friends as well. He probably would like to hang out with just his friends at times too. Tell her that you want some days alone with your boyfriend. |
