Happy Earth Day Guys!, .. what do YOU do to recycle, reuse, and uh. reduce? |

Yep, today's Earth Day. So what do you do to save energy and reuse items that aren't recycleable? Well, for one, I recycle bottles, cans, newspapers, and paper. I donate all our used clothes to Value Village and Purple Heart to the needy (and we donated a pickup truck a while ago to PH and a Toyota Camry to Melwood). I always shower with the water running at half-fullness/whatever (we have the shower heads that you connect to the original and it has this valve you can control the amount of water you want to let out), and I'm exctremely conscious of how much water/power I'm using.
 I'm a cool recycler!

Well, I'm not sure if this is very Earth related. But I'm planning to donate some of my hair when I cut it. Which should be sometime today. Happy Earth Day!

Happy Earth Day! I recycle paper and cans. ^^ I use used lined paper to make the little lucky puffy stars. :D

I just do the regular - I recycle cans, newspapers, the usual, when I can. |

I try to recycle paper whenever I can... Happy belated Earth Day!
Hmm.. I haven't really recycled much lately though, except a week ago I threw away a bunch of my old schoolwork papers, dumping it into the recycling bin at my house. Oh yea, and 3 weeks ago, I did some community service and picked up a bunch of trash.. Even though that's not recycling, I picked up (with a rake) a bunch of cigarrettes and threw them away. There were so many I never littered again after that!

I crumble up my paper and throw them in the trash. I take 30 minute showers and I never turn off my lights.

I recycle tons of paper and boxes, cardboard...whatever is recyclable! My mom has a bin too for cans and all that kinda stuff.

I drop my used glasses at those box places at Lenscrafters to give to needy kids who have poor, POOR eyesight.
I donate my ink cartridges to Staples. We give whatever we don't want to Goodwill. Old clothes, printers that don't work, monitors, etc. We gave our used '88 car to some place when we got a new one. I use paper towels A LOT though. |

I try to reduce my waste as much as possible, and recycle as much as I can, all of the time. Unfortunately, it's hard at my school because several of the food places only use disposable "china" and silverware. I try to create as little waste as possible. More importantly, I try to walk or bike as many places as I can, to reduce fuel usage.
