There one my Olay, Jergens, Loreal & a lot of other brands. Check online _smile.gif.
I heard that some of the spray ones makes you break-out ermm.gif.
I stick to a tanning salon so I wouldn't know _smile.gif.

See, the thing is, I don't want a major change (which I think spray would give me) I'd like to keep my freckles and just have a more even, SLIGHTLY darker skin tone.

I, too, am very fair-skinned and I tried a self-tanning lotion and it worked wonderfully. The only thing is that you have to apply it to clean, DRY skin. No wetness or moisture anywhere, or else it's streaky, so dry yourself with a hairdryer if you have to.

I'd like to try salons or spray... hm.

jergens.

I don't use Jergens but my sister does. It's a daily moisturizer, so you don't notice the diference at first but over time you will. It is working very well for my sister, and she isn't blotchy at all. Most people get blotchy in the hand area, but since you apply it every day, if you miss a spot one day, it's not a big deal becuase the next day you will go over it. There are also diferent shades of it so if you are very pale you can still get a good tan without looking orange or fake. I hope that helps!

1. Anyone have any before and after pictures that used a tanning lotion?
2. How long does it take to build up a little color?
3. Is it blotchy?

Didn't wanna make a new topic :)

Melissa what kind did you use?

For my sweet sixteen I want to build up to a tan so it isn't so shocking and the neutrogena sublime bronze should be renamed neutrogena sublime tangerine.

I'm currently using the Jergens one. I'm on day 2 and can already see a difference.

When I came out of the shower this morning though and dried my legs off I got some of it off though. _unsure.gif So be careful on that.

& it works well but decide before hand if your going to tan your feet. (mine are like half and half)

Last thing when using this; if you have a patch of dry skin, like on your knee caps or elbows be super careful because it made that skin darker on me.

I was at a track meet today-outside all day in the sun- and got sunburned quite bad so I'm guessing I shouldn't use the lotion stuff until I'm healed?

Yeah^

Use neutrogena after sun cooling spray. It helps it hurt less and heal faster.

You don't have to stay in the sun 24/7 to get wrinkles or skin cancer. The more often you go tanning, the sooner it may appear.

that's why i don't want to use tan lotion or spray or whatever. i'm afraid of it streaking. =/
every time i've seen my friends do it, it looks so fake. and weird. i'd just get a natural tan. but NEVER a tanning bed. pinch.gif

Here are a couple of products to try that work overtime to build a tan. So you won't get a orange fake looking color. I am gonna use one from Olay, just because it's a brand I always use for a body moisturizer _smile.gif.
Here a couple of product with a review below. I got it from YM btw _smile.gif.
QUOTE(Dove Energy Glow Daily Moisturizer with Subtle Self-Tanners @ $7)
Over the course of seven days, this moisturizing lotion will hydrate, even out your skin tone, and build a subtle glow, each with a pretty, fresh fragrance. And check out the rest of the Energy Glow line, all meant to bring out the very best in your skin.
QUOTE(Jergens Natural Glow FACE Daily Moisturizer @ $6)
Last summer, Jergens' Natural Glow created a sensation with beauty addicts everywhere. Now they've added a new, especially-for-faces version of their blockbuster product. It's lightweight and oil-free, so it's perfect for all skin types, and it will give you nice, healthy color.
QUOTE(Aveeno Active Naturals Continuous Radiance Moisturizing Lotion @ $8)
What we like about Aveeno's lotion is that it uses natural soy proteins and antioxidants to help shield your skin from environmental damage, as well as gives you a full 24 hours of moisturizing power, all while giving you an understated tan.
QUOTE(Neutrogena Summer Glow Daily Moisturizer SPF 20 @ $9)
Build a light, natural tan while protecting your skin from the sun's harsh rays with an SPF of 20. As with all of these items, it's gentle enough to use year-round.
QUOTE(L'Oreal Sublime Glow Daily Moisturizer @ $10)
Vitamin E, mango butter and sweet almond oil hydrate while deepening your natural color over time, while the light-capturing micro-pearls give your skin a dose of instant radiance.
