ok ya well.uhm im trying to understand how to make avatars and all.but i dont get the 'taking the image and making it fit into the 100 x100 avatar space' i have this image thats a pretty good big size.but i want that WHOLE thing to fit in the 100 x 100 space for my avatar. but i cant do it rightttt.i tried cropping but its not coming out right.anyone want to help me.PLEASEEEE.thanks a lot :] _smile.gif i know this may seem easy.but nottt for me.o no. :] thanks i hope you understand my problem.>>how to take an image,like the whole thing,and fitting it in the 100 x100 space<<

you have to resize the image, and cropped the part you want into 100x100.

hmm nonono i mean like how people have a whole image as their avatar or like insomiacs (sp) icons/avatars.like how she got the iamges in the 100 x 100 space.just basically making the image fit into the space.aka how do you make avatars.idonno

You have to use the crop tool correctly. It takes practice. Basically, hold the shift key down and get a square, by holding shift down it makes it perfectly porportioned, and make a square around the whole image that you want.

THEN..

Crop it, of course. After cropping it like that, go to Image >> Image size and make sure contrain porportions is checked, and then type in 100 x 100 for width and height.

Should work.
