I'm sure all of you know about poeple on myspace who have like millions of frends what makes me wonder is how do they actually do it and start talking to millions of people they dont even know and have millions of comments. Ive even herd of myspace advertising and such. I mean how far do these people go. Im just wondering your views on this...

Look, it's not that hard. You go to random people's myspace pages and you get a billion friend requests. Of course, being the nice myspacer everyone is, they just have to comment with "Hey watz up" or something along those lines. You don't need to be popular in real life to be popular online, that's the sad thing. It boosts the self-confidence of some people, so leave them alone.

noo i wasnt sayin it was a bad thing i was just sayin im jus surprised bcus i had like 500 frends at one point and i didnt realy get that many comments or nothing....i admit i was trying to b popular on myspace but then no one realy commented and now im jus amazed but it sucks sumtimes wen you realy wanna talk to the person and you cant cus of all the people that he/she talks to

I think people just go to every Myspace they can get to and ask to be friends. Out of like 100 people, you could probably get like half to accept. Some people love adding to their amount of "friends." If you do this asking random people thing, eventually you will amass lots of "friends" too.

Yea, it's not hard. People go to random pages and just add them. People just want to have more friends because it makes them seem cooler, I guess.

Yeah, MySpace trains. All they are are bulletins with a bunch of "Add Me" links for various people. At the top of the page reads something along the lines of, "OH MY GOSH ADD HIM/HER HE/SHE WILL WHORE YOU AND BUY YOU A COOKIE OH MAH GAH!!!!" -_-
And the person might just have "awesome" pictures. So a whole shitload of the comments might just be, "Hey, you're so hot." |

you dont need to be popular outside of the interent to be popular online.
They can just pretend to be someone they're not and add all these people and being that these people cant resist they'll accept and start the commenting from there. One can be someone totally different than who they really are behind the internet, and convince others to believe that they are who they "think" they are. I find it quite stupid to have so many friends. |

i think myspace whores are totally rediculous. There is no possible way that someone could know that many people for real. No way. And for those of you that actually have a myspace, you'll know how annoying it is to see bulletins from people with no real purpose.... having so many meaningless people on your friends list would only add to the number of insignificant posts. pretty easy/ there's a f ew people that if you add them they send you friend requests and all you do is accept. i used to have over 500 friends but then i realized... what the hell... i don't even know these people and they leave the dumbest comments.
so i deleted everyone except the real people i knew... o r some cool online people that i do actually talk to. it's pretty neat, because i've made friends that live right down the street from my grandparents on myspace, and i never knew they lived there. :P |

The thing is, they just add them. They don't talk to them at all or whatever.
Which is pretty lame to me. Also, some people are just plain STUPID on myspace. A bunch of people over where I live are getting killed because of it [yea i know, stupid] and it's all over the news and crap. I hate people who ruin fun things for others
