The clouds had opened up for me like a damn overflowing with water. And the vibrant, glowing light from the sun made redundant tears befall as I ran towards the silhouette against the sinking sun on that emerald hill. I ran, ran, and I swear the wind was by my side. It was drafting towards me but it wasn't keeping me from moving on. I kept my pace, and when I made it to the top and was welcomed by romance-filled aura. He was gone. Completely out of my eyes' vision. Where was he, I did not know. Searching frantically. Desperately. Oh, I would've screamed if he'd not hold me too soon. More tears. And then an arm, wrapping itself slowly around me, embracing me and emanating my previous chills and fears. A familiar voice,
"I love you, I always will." I turn to look at the face of my angel. God let him live for me, I know. I let all emotion go, as I sobbed loud and hard into his chest. Feeling the soft, warm hands brushing through my tousled hair. And breathing for the first time since I started my excursion, "I love you, too." |
