I think you're thinking of the Golden Number, which is approximately 1.618 (although it is an irrational number).

While you're on the subject, my friend just rambles off the numbers in Pi. I had to slap him to get him to shut up. And then he stops and tells me not to rattle off the periodic table. Except that got really rusty because I hardly use it anymore... I had to stop after 30. XD
Okay, anyways.... It's... Uh... purple. Which would be 'cause iot isn't a number. Okay, stop with the stupidity... Tangent of 90. Guess why.

It's not equal to one. It's a solution to the problem x^2 + 1 = 0, which isn't a real number.

First ten digit prime in e, actually, but yeah, it was used to lead people to another problem-solving website, which in turn led to an interview with Google.
