Ok, so this is probably pointless and if there's antother topic like this I'm sorry. My best friend [A] met this one guy [J] and she started really liking him. Thing is, whenever she likes a guy she introduces them to me. So me and J always talk on the phone (more than they do) and talk online. The only thing keeping me from liking him was the fact that I never met him. Yesterday, he invited me to the mall (and like a f**king retarded I went) well now I'm really starting to like him, and A thinks he likes me back. The thing is, he doesn't even go to my school, he goes to A's. My friend wasn't with us yesterday so I was flirting with him like mad crazy and now I feel a little bad. I don't know what to do. Should I back off, or pursue the guy my best friend likes?

Consider the following...
1.) How much does your friend really like this guy? 2.) Would your friend be happy for you if you and the guy started dating? 3.) What is more important, a best friend or a guy? 4.) Exactly how would your friend react if she knew you really liked him? Basically it's just a matter of what's more important, and how your friend would feel. If she starts not liking him, then great, I'd say keep pursuing this guy, but if she does really like him, then you should probably back off and not damage a good friendship. |

do you care more about your friend or the guy? if you have a special friendship with her, why destroy it over a guy? it all depends on how you feel about your friend and the guy.

Well look at your opinions. You have you best friend (A) who you've known for _____ years/months and you have the crush (J) who you've never really met until that day at the mall. Is it really worth ruining your relationship with (A)?

if you continue this "thing" with [J] i tell you... you will have a trouble of choosing either your friendship with [A] or your love with [J].... so if your not so sure of your feelings... might as well drop it...

What I'd do is pursue him... When you like someone... you gotta go for it. Thats what I'd do... but like... how tight are you and your friend?

Well, it kinda sounds like he likes you back. You may feel guilty, so talk to your friend about it. Tell her that since they aren't going out, she doesn't own him; for lack of better words. Hopefully your friend will understand =D

GO FOR IT! Honestly, if you're in high school the whole point of high school is to do the dating scene.. && if he doesn't like your friend && he likes you then your friend should just let you guys be together instead of being selfish && telling you to back off.. I mean really I'd make it into a competition.. Whoever he likes he likes so it's not really you or your friends choice.. it's his.. but if you don't want the chance of going through that then back off && find someone else while your friend is talking to him.. Also I'd like to point out if you && your friend are like mad close then I wouldn't do it.. Just both of you be mature && let him go && say they'll be other guys && no guy can get inbetween you guys friendship like that EVER!.. |
