Hey guys, happy to be here~ I've been a web enthusiast since the era of 14.4 kbps modems. I'd been "there" coding almost anything (common) from QBasic and now PHP / C++. Submitted AVS for winamp around 1999. I'm very obssesed with the net and anything customizeable.

I'm not a hard core techie but I love to experiment any codes possible :) Tell you the truth, I never succeeded in mastering any of those codes ;) To see your codes work as intended is really satisfying.

Of course I've a life (apart from sitting in front of my computer). I love boozing with my friends and even sometimes I'd jamm in studios.

The real reason to be here is to see if my tutorials (and knowledge) can be understood and is useful to other people's websites (and see 'em work of course).

I'm also extremely interested towards your coding tips and tutorials. PLEASE drop me a few lines ;)

It's nice to see that you have interest in coding and plan to utilize the tutorial section, but you should post around in the other forums, too. We've got some pretty nice people here.

But it's good to have you. You didn't mention your name. What is it?

Hi happy.gif

Ahh, 1999 it seems like yesterday though it's actually 7 years ago...time flies too fast cry.gif I like you, you remind me of this guy I adore, he's like a geek but not really. He's a computer programmer yet roams around with his other light or not so light alcoholic friends at night/wee hours of the morning. I assumed that you'd be kind of old but you're not, either way it's all good.

Wow, you already have 4 tutorials to your name, it's great that you contribute to the community =]

Welcome to createBlog!!!

Welcome Herbert. Old fashion or not, I like that name. It's the name of a protagonist of one of my shorts I'm working on. You seem like a very interesting and kind fellow. I hope to see you around the Community Center forums sometime. I'm Nate, nice to meet you.

You're not that old...then again I consider myself old. Bah, who cares about being old. The more you talk, the more you remind me of that guy I adore.

Being old is fun, at least it is for that guy, he gets to bang a high school girl, and we both think that's kind of hot shifty.gif

But anyway, you're responsible and you're educated and you're all that other good stuff I'm dreading. No more teenage angst for you.

have u heard of www.w3schools.com? they sure have the best tutorials for beginners. from traditional html to xhtml, css, javascript, etc. shouldn't miss that :) years ago everyone was taught to write proper HTML like <font><b></b></font> but these days you can totally discard all these tags. tables are usually discarded and replaced with <div>

i'm wondering, for you guys who were introduced with xhtml on first impression, do you guys use <div> all the time?
