Friendship, ..and shyness Options

So at the beginning of freshmen year, i had this friend who was in the "in crowd" and because i always hung out with her that made me "popular" too..but then she left the school, nd now i hang out with different people, and the "in crowd" people dont talk to me as much..well they do but we just never hang out...i really want to hang out w/ them nd stuff, but im just too shy to confront them. how do i let them know that i still want to be friends and hang out with them..any suggestions..
and also..some people may think that the only reason i want to hang out with them is to be "popular" which isnt true, i do it because i miss them..nd yeah im not trying to be stuck up so dont mis judge me..thanx

it's funny because my freshman year, i was NOT in the in-crowd..... now i'm a high school senior and somehow.. i am the in-crowd. lol... i mean... like me and my friends are almost like.. all that... no we aren't stuck up or anything, but alot of people think we are really cool for some reason..

it must come with being a senior. lol.


i'd just sorta nudge my way into converstations and get their acceptance.

Oddly enough, popularity is something that I never, ever wanted in high school. All the "in-crowds" I've seen are basically just shallowness mixed with insecure jealousy.

Just try talking to them more and get close. They'll probably invite you to something if you're close to them. Don't come off as a leech because they take advantage of that.

People used to try to befriend me to be part of the in-crowd since the in-crowd liked me. But, I could care less and they eventually left me alone and spread rumors about me because I didn't care for them and because of their typical traits. Lovely people they were.
