He's been my best friend since high school started, even though we don't go to the same school anymore. We weren't close in middle school.
And as of lately, I've been thinking about him more than a friend does. I want to have a relationship with him. I don't know HOW to tell him, or if I should even tell him at all. Advice? ![]() |

Just go up to him and tell him? I'm not good at this, heh. If you really do like him, then tell him.

Note : We don't go to the same school. We keep in contact online....and I've only seen him ONCE in the past two years.

Psh, stuff is so much easier online.
Just ask him about stuff, who he likes, past crushes. Then, if he asks back, just be like, this might be weird, but i like you. |

Ask him out for a friendly get-together. What did you enjoy to do together before? Go see a movie together or something.
The first step to a relationship is friendship. Get to know him better. Catch up on each other's lives in a coffee shop. The more you see each other, the closer you get. The closer you are, the easier for a deeper relationship. My advice: don't tell him just yet. First, hang out more. |

First, hang out more. I totally agree. Since you haven't been in contact with him IN PERSON for very long, I think you need to get together with him and hang out more. If the only contact you make is through IM, it's probably not a real relationship. So don't tell him anything yet. Just invite him to hang out with you. And it's a lot better to tell him up front, in person, eye to eye, what you feel about him. If you're too scared to do that, you probably aren't ready for a relationship. |

However, I'm a bit concerned that you aren't exactly sure of your feelings. You said you have only seen him once in the past two years? Your only connection with him today is over the net? How realistic is a relationship, and how well do you truly know this kid? What about him is appealing to you...? |

First, hang out more. Okay, I know it's been a while, but I did ask him. He told me, "I already saw a movie this month. I don't want to see another one." That just really pisses me off. ![]() I don't think he's getting the point. In fact, we talk less online. I don't know if it's because I have AP's coming up, or our grades are falling, or we are both getting pissed off at each other. I still do like him a lot. The worst thing was.... I volunteer at the zoo. I invited him to also volunteer there. You have to apply, so he went for his interview. That night, he asked me online, "What was the name of that really cute girl that was interviewing with me?" I don't know who he was talking about, but he kept pushing it. Overall, he's great.... I think I'm blowing things out of proportion. I want a happy ending for one. ![]() |
