I was wondering how to people get flares in their hair? or even curls? isn't that why they call a 'curling' iron a 'curling' iron...since it curls hair?

I was just wondering. ermm.gif k thanx. pinch.gif

^ An iron.. that curls your hair.. mellow.gif

I don't use it much. ermm.gif You just heat it up, wrap it around your hair, let it stay for a couple of seconds, and BOOM! Curly hair.

You just take a very small bunch of your hair, and roll it around the curling iron, then fasten it with the clip thingy. Wait for 10 - 40 seconds depending on how curly you want it to be.

After you've curled your hair, remember to spray some firm hairspray onto it to make the curls last.

Hope this helps.

"Flares"? Do you mean like...a flip in the hair?

I find that using a curling iron for that sort of stuff makes the hair a bit too curly. Drying your hair around a round brush will look more natural.

I have a 'styler', as a 2in 1 with my curling iron. It's great for making your hair 'flip out'
If you don't know how, it's probably hard to see over the internet. try looking on youtube or something for a video on how to do your hair, and you should be able to see how to use it. Or else, you know those booths that do demos and try to sell you curling irons? go there and ask for a 'demo' and pretend to be interested in buying the curling iron tongue.gif

And if you're going to flip your hair, I think a straightener would be better!

Oh yeah, a straightener would work really well, too. Just make sure to buy one with a rounded edge, so your flip doesn't end up too...angled.
