so theyre in the process of making the grude two. its suppose to come out on the 20th of october and the girl from sisterhood of the traveling pants and joan of arcadia is in it.

i thought the first one was okay. it was scary the first time i saw it and then when i rented it, it got boring. so..i might see the sequel. might.

She played the first on screen victim. The catholic school girl uniform, and the classic (my personal favorite) closet shot of her dead corpse. Yeah.

The Grudge was awful. Just terrible. I won't be seeing the sequel, or at least I won't be paying to ever see it. stubborn.gif

Seeing as how the first one wasnt all that great I doubt this one will be. Despite that, I will most likely still check out it.

That is one of my favorite shots too! (of her corspe in The Ring)

I didn't think The Grudge was that terrible, I would recommend seeing the Japanese film though. It was well made and pretty creepy.

Not sure if I'll see the sequel, unless it happens to be on cable or something some night.

Yeah, that closet shot was wonderful. It still sticks with me as one of the most effectively disturbing moments in recent horror cinema.

I would stick with Ju-On as well. As, Ju-On: The Grudge may not be as "scary," it is most certaintly creepier. They did a better job with a tighter budget.
Also, that guy really needs to stop making the same film over and over again. It's getting old.

Ugh, I don't have very high expectations of it at all. Sequels are never good, especially when the original sucked as bad as The Grudge did. Amber Tamblyn can do better than this movie.

blah, i don't think the grude should borrow actresses from the ring. it makes everything even more confusing. plenty of people probably still think that the grudge movies and the ring movies are like the same movie series or something.

but anyway, i'll probably catch it when it comes on tv. the grudge scared the crap out of me as does a lot of things ph34r.gif

anddd why are you people praising the corpse shots?? those shots not only scared the hell out of me, they scared everything else out cry.gif

My ex-girlfriend clawed the hell out of my arm during The Grudge. We saw it in theaters and she can't handle scary movies, she nearly started to cry. My arm was indented from her death grip. I found that amusing, but the film was awful. Did even jump once or anything. I went home and watched The Evil Dead, which I had seen a million times over, and I actually jumped once. Heh heh.

And, those corpse shots are amazing. Great stuff! happy.gif

Well the original grudge is a Japanese remake, which figures. For them to make a second one I don't really think its going to be all that great. Usually the seconds are the worst. Maybe it will be a surprise and not be that way though. From the previews it looks pretty dumb in my opinion.

There's definitely gonna be a Grudge 3. Because The Grudge 2 ended like the first one did (sorry if that's a spoiler. pinch.gif) and they still have to tell us what happened with the family in Chicago. They have to have another movie to conclude it all.

Yeah, and I checked Wikipedia and it said that it's coming out in 2008.

That's funny. For some reason, I'm craving mejicano looking chinamen after reading your post.

Rofl, you are so funny melissa. eyebrowes.gif eyebrowes.gif

Was it really that good? The previews and advertising made it seem so stupid but... idk. Maybe I'll go see it now.

It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't consider it a great movie. Im debating if it is worth 6 dollars to see it though.

I blame Friday the 13th.

But Kevin Bacon was sooooooo HAWT in that. biggrin.gif

Haven't seen it. I didn't see all of the first film though and I only saw the part(s) I did because it was on cable one night.

If it came on TV, I'd watch it.

I laughed a lot when I watched this movie.
But I couldn't really "focus" that much of the movie.
But I thought it was scarier than Grudge 1.

I watched it with couple of friends...
I had a fight before the movie... so I didn't really
ENJOY THAT MUCH of the movie -_-;;

But it was okay. Better than Grudge 1

omg that japanese girl is so freaking gorgeous :D

I laughed during the first one. I still think I might check out the second one for the hell of it.

waste of money. movie was extremely pointless. it's pretty much the first one all over again. seriously.

go see the prestige instead.

I just saw and it was...blah. I wouldn't recommend going to the movies to see but rather rent it when it comes out on dvd. I wish I would have just saved my money for Saw 3.

okay, so i actually did end up seeing it. it was PPV for $3.99. what a waste of money.
i guess it was good, but it wasn't very scary. are they going to do a grudge 3 with the little boy, now?

I love this movie, you must watch the original Japanese version! It's very scary and creepy... But also the American Version....:)
