its ok...id still prefer a rsx or honda over that....but it is sure a lot better then the xA and xB.....they are ugly...like the honda element *shivers* looks lika tupperware box with wheels

Just think about it, not many cars in the under-$20,000 range come heavily standard equipped like the tC. Let's see, you got six-speaker Pioneer MP3 CD audio system, huge panorama sunroof, front sport seats, 17-inch wheels, power everything, and not to forget it looks nicer than the Civic and other rivals. Shit, not even the Civic doesn't have most of this shit and still costs more. And it feels high quality and expensive in the interior.
Styling is subjective, but it looks like a crossbreed between a BMW 740Li, Volvo S40, Saturn ION, and an Acura RSX. Can't wait to drive one. Driven the xB a few months earlier, really huge inside dispite the exterior size! Don't like the look, OK performance but really damn slow going up hills. yeah well i plan on buying the tC when in comes out in '05... thats my first choice... i have to admit.. the rsx is nicer.. my brother has one... but the scion doesnt look that bad... and at a price of under 20,000.. its not that bad...
isnt scion toyota?? isnt toyota and scion the same..? thats what my brother told me... i really dont know... but its still a concept car rite now i think...

It's a nice economy friendly car, and it doesn't even look like an economy car at all! Gotta love those side mirrors that actually flash during turns, not the ones with the light bulbs, those are common nowadays. I'd say it's a good ride for your money. Although with 16,000, you can get a used Eclipse GSX or Celica GTS or something..

I wouldn't call that an economy car. Scion is the segment of toyota aim towards sport compact enthusiasts. Based on the specs, it would fair pretty well against most entry level sport compacts these days. But, I agree, for 16000, you could do better.

Meh, if it's the look you like, then go for it. Not many people have that car; so it'll set you off from the other cars. Sports compact -meh; gets you from point a to point b is all that really matters. ^_^
btw the scion tc has 160 hp; higher then your average "civic" ^_^. almost like a gsr......180hp? |

its cool, 160 hp tho. Its not a lot. I rather save up for a supra OR get a nissan 240sx with s15 front end swap with sr20det or just get a nissan 300zx TT. You could get a very good 3z for that price, thats what i would do

Not only is the car cute, but it's pretty cheap, for such a nice-looking car. And also, i heard insurance is really low on it.. even if the car is new.. vs. say.. a used toyota camry ('96) or something. I defintely want one.. ahah When I get on the bus to go home, in the teacher's parking lot at my high school, there's usually a white scion tc parked nearby.. probably a teacher's car.. It looks so nice.. :D

Its not that bad but I like the xA better and im sure as hell to take it over a Civic anyday. Actually with that price its a pretty good starter car for newb drivers. Yes getting any Scion car would be good for beginning your years of driving.

My dad's girlfriend has one.... [my dad sells cars for Toyota, which obviously includes Scion] anyway.. I love that car.. I think I fell in love with the car when I went to a banquet with my dad for Toyota and they show all the salespeople the new cars they'll be coming out with and new projects and shit.. Id get a Tc over rsx... All I see when I look at acuras is hondas... Besides Tl. But I wouldnt get Tc this year if I had the money... tC great car, heard they got sum issues with it currently with sum recalls n sum shit, but yeah looks nice heard they mite add a supercharger as an option....any1 see that txb concept? looks like shit but not bad technology n concepts to it

Insurance for it is a little steep according to my friend who has it. He's 16, and drives a manual transmission of it and it's costing him 2gz for 6 months. Probably beacuse he's a new driver and it's a sports car. ;p
