okay, say you have a myspace, and it has a colored background to it.
and you wanted to put up a picture, but it had a white background.
is there a way to put up a picture onto a myspace without the white in the background?
i.e.

could i put that on a myspace without having a white square around it?

Maybe edit the background color in Paint or Photoshop.

You can use a program to get rid of it but I suggest adding a border around it in the code so that you see the white but the border will make it look better.

haha, i guess that would work.. well.. this is the actual thing;

i have this really super cool font on my computer, but other computers can't see it so it just looks like times new roman to them. SO; i used the print screen button and uploaded the text as pictures, so people would see them, but now i have text with a white square around it. and the background is this:
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y128/pish...wing20setgd.jpg
so when it's white-on-white, it looks fine, but when the text is on the grassy part there's a big white splotch on there.
i was just wondering if there was a way to flood-fill white.. to make it clear on white.
if that makes sense.

When you type the text in save it you should do it in a program like gimp, photoshop or paint shop pro. Then you save it as .gif and set it to transparent then your text will have no white background.

hm, well, i went to that, and i don't think i can download those programs (this isn't my computer) they talk about, but they do mention something about going to the attributes and setting the transperancy. well, when i go to the attributes on my paint, it looks like this:

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y128/pishuress/paint.jpg

i guess that means i can't make my images transperant?

QUOTE
Try this:

File/Save As/on the pull down list that says "Save as Type" select "Graphics Interchange Format [*.gif]" save it. Then Ctrl+E. That'll open the image attributes. Check the Transparent image checkbox, click color, selcet white (or whatever color you want transparent), OK, File/Save. There you go. Like people said, some version of paint don't let you use transparent images.

If it doesn't work that way then you can't.
