Isnt PG-13 meant to be for kids 13 and _UP_? You keep closing topics that "arent PG13", when theyre over things like girls getting raped and stuff... Theres seriously something messed up about that if they want help...

And what do you think:: If someone wants to write something over PG-13 ish *shrug* like... For kids 16 and up? They can put 16+ on their topic so they can get advice on stuff they seriously have questions about... I mean thats what the lockers are meant for, help and advice. Same with the relationship thing...

I dunno if there was a topic on this before or anything... But I was just curious on why questions get closed when they're seriously asking for help... Plus kids nowadays are "doin it" at the age of 11... So really seeing as this is a 13+ site... We should be able to talk about some _real_ teenage related things...

Just a suggestion....

If a topic is closed, it's probably the way you said it rather than what the topic is. If you state it in more of a delicate matter, i.e. me and my boyfriend want to have sex as opposed to me and my boyfriend want to f**k, then there should be no problem. Can you give the URL of the topic in question?

Umm for the record PG-13 means parents should be causioned meaning that it should be LESS than PG-13..... and IF they let rape and other topics open the guys would just make more masturbating topics which would cause more problems......

I was reading through some old things wayy back and this girl was talking about her boyfriend forcing her to have intercourse with him, and the topic was closed due to it not being PG-13 material, I'll see if I can find her topic again... And to make masturbation topics doesnt make since... Thats to their self, not whats being done forcibly upon them... Anyway, I'll try and find the link and edit this later...

is it normal for a guy to force u to do it?

At the end, even the person who closed the topic noticed it was rape, then closed it... It doesnt make sense, she was asking for sensible advice... (yeah, i was reading wayy back there... major boredum, but thats not the point) It just had me wondering whats going on when girls just ask for some help...

^

I just have to point out some more, even though you said it already, that the thread was made in 2004. Actually I didn't even remember a CJ1 being a moderator!

Well let me just say that topics like these are allowed to stay open because I trust the current mods know that it's a person that needs help.

Now, we will not allow threads that are not PG-13 to stay open if there is no need for help such as what to do if you're being sexually harassed, raped, or other emergency issues.

/

I have no opinion of the option of a topic starter saying "16+ only!" because if we openly allowed this people may just depict necrophilia-in-action and say "AO only" or something...

/

Kids may be doing it at 11 y/o right now but that doesn't mean we should tell all of them what an orgasming phallus looks like.

edit: I also have to mention that at 11 y/o most girls and boys haven't hit puberty yet. I fail to see why, even if popular culture encourages it, Createblog must also aid in telling prepubescent sexual matters. If they are curious they will look for it. We have an entire thread about puberty for boys and girls. I think it's a pinned FAQ thread.

Ahh I was modded the same time as CJ1.. She left shortly after, I believe. Well okay, not too shortly after, but you get the picture!

Anyways, I agree with Jeff in a sense that I too trust other moderators to close topics according to forum rules AS WELL as using their best judgement. Wow that topic.. 2004... that's almost 2 years ago.

Also, sometimes we might close topics if the topic gets out of hand. Sure, a topic may start out fine, but if it gets out of hand where closing is necessary, that is what happens.

don't spam.

anyhow, it's pointless to put "16+" for certain topics because those who are under 16 will most probably go read and post anyways. i don't really remember other topics like that which were closed, so do you have any other examples?

and like christina said, topics are closed when they get out of hand, also, i've noticed that sometimes, topics are closed because they're old and the original topic starter's question was answered already, so there was no point in giving him/her "advice."

Yeah I realise they'll still read it, but that's their choice, and if they don't like what they read, it's their fault for going somewhere they shouldn't be in the first place...

I'll try and find another example sometime...

But maybe you guys should give the +16 thing a try, it would really help quite a few people... Well thats just my opinion on it anyway, I'm not sure of the rest of cB...
