would you rather be a rich, successful person who decides at age 40 to finally get to know yourself and the meaning of life
or have already done those things at a young age and begin building your fortune at age 40? |

i'd much rather know the meaning of life and myself when i'm young so i can really enjoy it...at 40 i'd probably be too worried about breaking a hip or something to really let loose.

I don't know. What am I going to buy at 40? Surely not something I would like now. But I would like to enjoy life now, too.

I'll go with choice A.
Lets be realistic, with bad credit and no cash, peace of mind won't put food on the table or a roof over your head. |

I would probably want to be 40 and finding out who I am just so I would have enough money and resources to find who I am.
Just me tho. |

She said "fortune". Like lots of cash. I don't think "lots of cash" is needed. As long as I have enough, i'm good. I'll go with B. I want to enjoy life from the beginning to the end. To the end! I can't exactly see myself doing crazy things i'm doing now at 40. |

40 isnt THAT old, that is just the beginning of the second half of your life! like right now my dad is 54 and he is just now starting his own business |

^ Thank you. I've only ten years until I'm 40, but I've lived a very rich, very full life. Had I decided to do things differently, I might have more cash and more materialistic prestige. But the life I have now? I wouldn't give it up for the world. I'm going back to college in the fall and I'm doing so with much perspective and a bigger thirst for knowledge.

QUOTE have already done those things at a young age and begin building your fortune at age 40 ^ that first. without knowing who i am first, really, how am i going to live well afterwards? it'd be too late at 40. i'd miss my childhood to be happy, when i think during that time is what sets you off a right path. ( that was confusing, wasnt it? ) |

Being rich and successful, 20s is a big difference to 40s.
In the 20s, you just waste it on unnecessary things; while in the 40s, you start to realize how life has been, and you will enjoy your money and spend it wisely. I'd rather choose age 40 |
