So I get to school today, and a lot of people are leaving to go to somebody's house and a bunch of people have really disturbed looks on their faces. Later, I hear what happened.

Yesterday, a girl at my school got out early for work release, went home, and finds her mother in a pool of blood with gunshot wounds all over her chest and head, and also finds her father lifeless in the basement. Apparently, the couple was going through a divorce at the time, and it looks like they got into an arguement and the father shot and killed his wife, and then committer suicide.

Can you even imagine coming home to this? And the girl was an only child. It's things like this that just make you sick at your stomach with the thought that you could have come home to the same thing.

Oops, I meant to post this in The Lounge.

that is so sad. i honestly think people who have arguments that is harsh enough to result into such violent scenes should just get therapy. that must've been really hard for the girl. man if i saw a scene like that, i'd be scarred :[

^Such comforting and genius words.

That is a terrible thing, I really feel terrible for the girl. Best of luck to her.

I don't know what I would do if I came home to that...I can't even imagine...

Omg, that is so horrible.
To come home to that, oh god.
I feel so bad for that kid.
That is just horrible. And who's gonna take care of her now?
If she goes to your school, I mean really look out for her.
That's so horrible :(

and about putting this in the lounge, i think it's fine here in relationships.

that's so horrible. i have no idea what i would do if that happened to me...especially after word gets out. it must be so hard for her to deal with it while having people all over her asking what happened, how she is, etc. it's kind of like "how the f*ck do you think she is?! she lost both of her parents and found their bloody corpses!"

something similar kind of happened to someone i knew. when my parents owned a restaurant, in the same area, there was a beauty salon. the lady used to order food from our restaurant until a misunderstanding between her and my mom. i'm not sure about what really happened but just like the girl, the lady's son who went to my junior high school found his mom, his stepdad, and a gun all on the floor. however, this happened about 6 years ago.

it's just so tragic that people resort to such drastic measures over things that can be solved by just talking things through...

Wow. I cannot even imagine what that could feel like. I don't think I could handle something like that.

Well, the kid at your school is going to need all the support that they can get, they're probably not going to want to talk about it for a while though, so you're better off with a card and a small personal note in it, since they're probably going to be getting a lot of cards, try to personalize it a bit.

If I were in that situation, I would be scarred for life. The parents don't realize the huge effect of their actions... I feel sorry for the mother who fell victim to the father, since he did shoot her, but more sorry for the girl. I don't know what I would've done. sad.gif I hope she's alright. :[

cry.gif That is so sad... I would be very scared if I came home to that. I fee lsorry for the girl. This shows that everyone should appreciate what they have, and not wish for something else, because you never know what'll happen.
