Well, it doesn't have to be something big; chocolate and a card or something. With my ex, he bought me chocolates and a card and that was enough.

get him a card and write something cute in it. if you want to do more than get him a little heart shaped box of chocolates.

don't overdo it. trust me...you'll either scare him off, make him feel bad that you spent so much on him and he probably won't on you or you'll feel like you'll have to top yourself for the next holiday/special occasion.

A small gift would be fine, just like how you would do to show respect to some not-that-acquainted friends.

People get Valentine's gifts for people they're not even going out with, so I say hey, sure, why not? Just make sure to do something you feel comfortable with.

I vote yes, but don't spend a lot on her, just do something that would mean a lot, like you should get her flowers and suprise her with something.
