Oblivious and unaware was this child
As he wandered through the sinful streets Looking for a home, a place, a shelter in this endless winter Gawking upon the horror of murderers Whose knife stabbed the heart of the innocent souls Waging war upon golden territories For its wealth and for its glory But the child did not understand Why kill a man for something that is worthless and unsatisfactory to the greedy? Why kill a man for something that will make you thirst for more power When all that power did is corrupt your very being? Is this what you'll be spending for a whole century? Leading a bleak road with another's blood stained on your clothes Stealing power from others who never did you any harm? Why cause more sins in these streets? Is it not dirty enough? Why kill when you contribute to this society? Help it become cleansed of cruelty and close-mindedness The murderer glared at the child Who is this child? Unknowing and foolish Ready to drown his innocence with those absent-minded thoughts He who cannot taste power, cannot survive He will die sooner or later, never knowing what it truly takes To live in this already-bleak world With all his impatience and anger, the murderer took his knife And pierced the very heart of the naiive child Blood seeped from the dead corpse Flooding the very sinful streets with pure crimson liquid Tainting the road and sidewalks with its scarlet gleam With a disgusted look, the murderer spoke, "Boy, there is nothing in this world that could be saved This is how the world works, runs, and lives We all live under a blade, seeking power from others If it's not power being sought, then death is your only future One way or another, we are thieves of this world We take away what life has offered for us and use it to thrive Let your blood be made an example of In reality, love, kindness, salvation, and grace Are nothing but fantasies cowards chase Only to escape what they already live in." |
