Make the background full size or sset it to repeat.

i mean like if i have an image and its not big enought to take up the whole backgroundhow do i make it take up the whole background? but not have it repeat.

Yea you might have to make it bigger. If your not using a div overlay you will . If you are doing a div overlay you can stretch it. But stretching won't come out good.
