We're starting a Member of the Month (MofM) contest!

How it works:
Everyone posts in this thread with ONE person that they believe has stood out the most during the month. The staff will then vote out of the nominations to decide who wins. Then the person that wins recieves a special reward! The reward will be different each time.

Rules:
- You must only make one vote.
- You cannot vote for someone who's already won.
- The member must be an Official Member/Designer.

There ya go!
(This one's starting a little early, since it's the end of the month, but it will end at the end of February.)

Well, it doesn't really encourage people to be an Official Member if people who aren't Official Members win Member of the Month, now is it?

The people who win Member of the Month should be dedicated members who support Createblog. Otherwise, why would they be the Createblog Member of the Month? Being an Official Member reflects that most (besides staff).

But it does help sway their votes a bit. Let's say they are tied on two people, Bob and Susie. The staff is even on this. Bob has one nomination, while Susie has seven. Who is more likely to be member of the month now? Most likely Susie will be. Though it does get repetitive, and it doesn't matter if Susie has 11 nomination and you want to nominate her.

not true. back in october there was a thread where people put who they think should be picked for staff out of the people that applied. michael (mipadi) was number 1 with a bunch of votes, but he wasnt modded then. he got beat by suzzette, julia, lorena, and someone else. he didnt get picked until december, so just because someone is nominated a bunch, doesnt mean that is going to sway the vote.
