I've never used diet pills, but I've heard that they just make you lose water weight. I wouldn't recommend taking them though - they might not be very safe.

Yeah, but do you have any hardcore evidence? If the world was built on he said and she said...well...you know what I'm getting at and I don't mean to sound like an ass when I say that.

Be careful and check the ingredients if you do buy diet pills. Make sure they dont contain aphedrin (sp?) or any "natural energy boosters." Check online for reviews of diet pills before you buy any.

I would advise you to see a nutritionist. They are educated in these things and can give you the appropriate and healthy course of action.

use them if you have alot of body fat, like 30+ percent. But even if you do have 30+percent body fat, you shouldn't continue using them. Ask your doctor, or hire a dietician like what boxers do months before a fight. But that maybe too much. I suggest Balley or was it Valley, meh. Diet pills should never be an option.

Not only do they have harmful side effects but they simply don't work. Only changing your nutrition diet and exercise can help you slim down. Good to know you didn't take them. :)

diet pills is not a good solution at all. they aren't safe. there is solid evidence. its not a natural way to loose weight.

most diet pills have ingredients like caffeine in excessive amounts in order speed up body processes and give crazy amounts of energy. tons of people have gotten heart attacks from diet pills, and im sure people have died from them. its not safe. don't try it.

I'm not trying to go against everyone but I knew a girl who was really obese and lost a lot of weight with the help of some diet pills her doctor prescribed.

What if your doctor recommended the pills?
Does that change it or still make them as unsafe?

I've never tried them because my doctor told me that some can help you lose weight but once your body gets used to that certain pill, then you don't lose anymore.

Just curious.

I will never take em' and I wouldnt. People should lose wieght ye old fashioned way. Unless you're extremely over-weight. You'd need a bit more help for that.

I always heard that diet pills only take away your craving for food, so once you stop taking them, you'll get your cravings back and gain weight. I heard of this girl that took this diet pill that had way too much caffiene, her heart started beating way too fast, and she had to go to the hospital. They told her that if her heart had been beating any faster she could have died.

The problem is, certain doctors will prescribe diet pills no matter what. They don't tell you the risks, they just give you them. At least, my mother's doctor would just give her diet pills.

I don't think they are safe. It would be safer to just exercise and eat healthy, because there really is no easy way out in weight loss.

Nope. I've never used them. I'd rather exercise the old fashion way.
