during a test, have you ever tried to think of what the teacher might have been thinking when s/he was making up the test? like, for example, you've had 3 answers as 'A' in a row, and the 4th question, which you're unsure about, seems like 'a' as well but you don't choose 'a' cause you dnt think your teacher would do that. was that too confusing? haha

My High School teachers never gave me multiple choice. So no, they mostly give us critical thinking essays.

yes i do that alot haha.. also this

A: 7/25
B: 9/17
C: 4/14
D: 9/25

i would pick D.. because two of the choises have "9" in it as the numerator and two of the choices have "25" as the denominator.. ya dig? maybe not.. lol

remind me of once we had a matching test.. and the teacher forgot to mix it up so it was like

1. A
2. B
3. C
4. D

etc.. but only some people got it all right because everyone else thought it would be impossible to get ABCDEFGH and they musta done something wrong. lol

Yeah I used to think that way up to 6th grade. Then on 7th grade my reading teacher told me, "Kids, when it seems like the teacher put up a pattern or some kid of trend for the answers, trust your own opinion or answers. Just because so far 10 questions you answered had C's in a row, doesn't mean every question has the letter C as answer."

Yes.
I just took this test, and you had to put these events in order and it turned out to be e, d, c, b, then a and I debated about whether I was right or not for a minute.

Teachers do that on purpose, most likely, just to see if you change the answer. Like my English final I just had. I had 15 B's in a row, and surpirsingly they were right.

We had a test where every answer was "C". I kid you not. Everyone, including the class failure got and A. Because, guess what? He put "C" all down his answer sheet.
So yeah, sometimes peple don't notice. Sometimes they do it to see your reaction.

ohmy.gif wow you got all 15 right.. That's never happened to me!

L!ckitySplit - Yea I know what you mean! And it turns out that the choice is wrong ahhaha :P

Actually, there was a teacher of mines that would put in true or false questions.. like 10 of them. One time they were all true except for 2. Good thing I read the chapter. But I mean, not 15 of the same answers all in a row! :O Like, 5 of the true/false questions were true, all in a row. Then the next would be false, then back to true. Haha :P

Teachers are always trying to test us to see whether we really know the answer or are just guessing.. sweating.gif

Oh, man. I hate it when teachers do that. I'm sit there thinking if my teacher would be so mean as to put patterns. It just confuses me. Some of my teachers have done that. Damn tricky teachers.

I used to second-guess myself like that, but now I just ignore what's on the answer sheet completely and go with what I think is the answer to the question. it works a lot better. =p

Most definitely.
Sometimes I think they're making patterns out of the answers too...
That would explain some of my grades.

The test was 80 questions and there was a true and false part where most of them were false, and there like 15 falses in a row, I got that section right. XD

Yes, and for me that would be considered paranoia.

But anyway, I try to keep my answers as consistent as possible, and I always try to look for clues.

I despise AP multiple choice tests. I try not to think about the order of the letters, because I'll fixate on them and make my grade even worse than it's be otherwise.

Oh it really annoys me when there's at least 4 of the same letter in a row, or when it goes a, b, c, d, or d, c, b, a.

ohmygod, i hate that. it's like you're doing fine, and then you look down and you're like, "woahhh why do i have like 5 (a)s in a row? i better change some of those..." and then i get the test back and it turns out they were all right. _dry.gif ugh

Thats what makes multiple choice tests hard. My Lab teacher does it all the time to make you think your doing something wrong. She once gave a test were every answer was D "None of the above"...messed me up completely, yea she just enjoys messing with our heads.
