You should write a letter and explain your appreciation.

Direct your appreciation to the general public and the film makers themselves as well. They make up the bulk of information on IMdB. It's a global wide effort, not much unlike Wikipedia.

Wikipedia is created by the audience. All of the articles are edited, created, and maintained by the general public. Despite there being a Wikipedia staff and peer reviewed articles, the bulk of Wikipedia is brought to you by the average joe on the net. The audience. Go ahead. Sign up and start editing. I havn't done my own article yet, but I have edited a few and have been decently active on some article talk pages.

It's really amazing stuff.
