My friend asked me to download the torrent files for her and after they are all downloaded to burn them to a disc. My problem is though that I have left BitTorrent open, but it doesn't download anything.
*edit* picture was too big so I just left a link http://tinypic.com/k4z8eo.jpg *end of edit* It stays at 0%. Am I just being impatient or do I need to change settings? |

im using azureus and it took me awhile to set it up lol. it was really confusing. I believe you need to make/open a port for your bittorrent and also disable you firewall (XP firewall)
It also depends on the amount of seeding and people downloading it. This post has been edited by sex: Jan 13 2006, 10:53 PM |

Yup, something's wrong. There are a lot of seeds, but you can't connect with any of them.
I just recommend you use Bit Tornado, download it. It's real simple and it's the most efficient, imo. |

Are you behind a firewall?
Make sure your port is open, also. If you're using port 6881 (default), sometimes the tracker will ban you just because. |

I'd use BitComet.
Anyways you're downloading 4 or 5 torrents that are in the range of 3-5 Gigabytes. |

You guys rock. I unblocked the firewall and I'm using BitComet now so it's all dandy. It's slow, but at least its working now =)
