if anyone reading this and u live in houston then if u saw the local news u would probly know who this guy is

ok well at the beginning of 7th grade the school hierd a new algebra teacher who was 28 named mr. paiva. he was an awsome teacher and he never got mad if u like skipped half his class and ran up and down the hallways (dont ask) he was like our friend. expecialy to me and tori and andrew. we would always sit with him at lunch and he was really nice and he was like one of us. my class with him had only about 10 people and we were the only 7th graders that had him and the rest of the grade has tihs other teacher . because hes mainly an 8th grade teacher. so we were the only 10 ppl that were real close with him.


then a few times my friend austin would have to finish a test alone in his classroom with him because shes really slow and this girl in 8th grade somehow would always wait at the back of the class room for austin to leave.


right after winter break was over, we came in the class room and there was a sub. the sub was there for 2 days and we just thought that mr p was sick.


2 days ago i turned on the news and i saw mr paiva on the news.

Sadly, stories of teachers inappropriately touching students are occurring all across the United States.

On the phone, and on the Internet Thursday, 11 News was able to locate five ongoing cases where teachers have been accused of having inappropriate sexual behavior with their students.

HPD's Public Information office said detectives walked into the River Oaks Baptist School on Willowick and arrested an algebra teacher on Tuesday.

Arturo Paiva was charged with indecency with a child.
Arturo Paiva, 28, was taken into custody without incident and has been charged with indecency with a child. His bond has been set at $100,000.

According to the Probable Cause document obtained by 11 News, Paiva admitted to inappropriately touching a 14-year-old female student more than 30 times, often fondling her and kissing her. He also told police he became aroused and had actually fallen in love with the student.

Police said most of the incidents, but not all, occurred at the school. Some of them were near the student's home and investigators said they happened inside the teacher's car.

The student's parents called police after they discovered inappropriate e-mails. There were phone calls made by the teacher, too.

Cases like this are sadly all too common.

Thursday, the River Oaks Baptist School said it was cooperating with HPD in this current investigation involving Paiva and after learning of the accusations, administrators said they immediately fired him, following their own investigation.


















that made me and my other 10 friends really mad. we actualy trusted him and we talked to him and he was actually a really good guy.

but it was annoying how the rest of my grade was freaking out when they didnt even know him

Yikes. I don't live in Houston, so yea. But I guess these things happen all over the world. I haven't heard of it much in Canada, but every once in awhile, there are news like these. and what is it with 7th grade teachers? when i was in 8th grade one of the 7th grade teachers (he was one of those teachers that didn't have one official class but went around the building) was accused of sexually harassing and molesting one of his students.

Damn. Sorry about your teacher ): Did the student, let him fondle her. Or did he molest her. And dont even worry about the rest of your grade. They are just being drama queens who want othe peopel to notice them.

And Ive never encountered a teacher who sexually abused the students. But we have drove 7 students out of my middle school in two years, and subs got into fights with students, and in 6 grade my friend Juan was dancing on a desk, and the sub flipped the desk over. With Juan on it.

my school hired a music teacher last year who disappeared, we found ou tater it was because the school had scnned his school account and found thousands of child porn images. this guy had been living in the boarding housefor several months before he was discovered, and had also taken numerous pictures of 11/12 yearold students in his classes (including my brother) in ordr to learn their names (that's what he told them).

i think a lot of time when it's teachers, they feel like they have to let them do whatever because sometimes if they're real jerks, they'll mess up the kid's grade. i'm not sure, but that seems like what a sicko would do. i'm really sorry about that guy. maybe he was trying to earn you and your friend's trust. sometimes you just can't see these kinds of thigns coming. just have to be careful.
