Long live fuel-efficient vehicles:

QUOTE
As Detroit falters, Asian makers pick up speed

As Detroit’s Big Three struggle, Asia is emerging as the dominant force in the international car market, tapping into consumers’ desires for fuel-efficient cars and picking up many of the sales lost by their shrinking American rivals. U.S. giants Ford and Chrysler are downsizing as consumer demand shifts away from gas-guzzling SUVs and they struggle with crippling worker health care and pension liabilities.

China? When you think Asian automotive, you think Japan, and Korea to a lesser extent.

A little random but that's why K Swiss is cool -- It's not made in sweatshops in Asia, I heard. </end random>

I'd also like to say that the design of non-American cars are also appealing. I mean, just look at the Infiniti G35. There's so many people that have them. Sure it has power, but the concept/design is very appealing, as others have told me. Also, European cars are awesome too. But since we're only talking about asian cars... Asian carmakers have been developing cars that are very affordable, as well. :]

Fuel efficient... yay for Maxda Miatas with their 30+ miles per gallon on the freeway :D

asian cars are more european in style; you can feel the road more, and it's more responsive.

american cars are more american in style; you ride smoothly and the reactions are graceful.

(at least for the sedans)

mayhaps it's preference..
