All the technical terms are completely foreign to me. I'm not very good with computers but managed to set an image for my background. The problem is that my text appears invisible because the image has many different shades. So, how can i make boxes for each section so that the text is readable?

i would recommend getting the css code:
http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=84325 and putting the url for your pic and changing the colors and stuff. or, just do this: QUOTE Message Forwarded From resrchmnkyglr6 you will use this: the major thing in making a layout is the image...unless you want a plain one... 1. to find an image(s) go to here find the image(s) you want...all about the same size. if you have photoshop...fix 'em to your liking (go to the tutorials page) here...or if you have ms paint, then you'd be better off with a premade pic like this one: ![]() unless you want your layouts to be like the ones i made you, you should put the image in this code: ...you have to resize the width and height to your image size (or it'll cut it off)...after you made/or took your picture, upload it here...pick the very last one (it should be direct or something like that)...ok..you've got the images down, right? (no? click here and message me and tell what i skipped or what you needhere) next, are the colors 1. in myspace, all you have to do is type the color you want...(e.g. hotpink, lightgreen, brown, gold, etc.) [for more click here] 2. before you do anything, you might want to pick a color scheme (eg. night, day, happy, sad, etc.) let's go section by sectioni'll be referring to the layout code above...so glance up there as i write so you know what to do 1. body for the background image: that's if you want your image in the BACK of your layout, like the ones i gave you...if you want it in the extended network (like the original beach layout [the one sun. many summers...]then put the url in the second code box where it says url... position: the options are center center; left center; right center; top center; top left; top right; bottom left; bottom center; bottom right. attachment: it's either fixed or scroll tinker with it....i still haven't mastered that yet 2. table section make it like mine until you get to the background color...there you need to pick your color. if you want the see through (but still there) module like the hearts layout, leave as is or delete it... leave this: } in there...that's important. everything after that is pretty self-explanatory...the only thing is border-style: the types are: solid, dashed, double and a couple more, but the rest are ugly...don't try... 3. text and link input change it to the color you want or make it transparent. read through it a little bit and where it says color or font-family change it to w/e you want. a=links text-decoration and transform, etc...i don't really know what it is, so you might wanna find out...the only thing you'll need off of that is font-style...that's bold, italic, and underline. a.hover=what ur links look like on hover that's pretty much it, but this code is if you want the contact table to have hover effects, too... NOTE: AFTER YOU INSERT SOMETHING BEFORE THIS>>>}<<<, YOU NEED TO PUT THIS >>>;<<<....IT'S VERY IMPORTANT!! hope it helped... NOTE[2]: if you couldn't tell, i wrote this to somebody, so some of the stuff will say, "like i made you" or something like it...ignore and hope it helped |
