i am surprised noone in cb has made a topic about this......i guess its better of to recieve then to give =p tongue.gif anyway, since finals were over yesterday, and having no school for the next 4 weeks, =) i just had enough time to stop by the mall and use the $250 to waste.

$53 Ann Taylor plaited Shoal Scarf and wrap around. for my mom

$46 J.Crew Blue Angled Cashmere V-neck sweater for my sis

$42 x-box Call of Duty Game for my bro

$30 M`s Banana Republic Cologne and $25 knitted Scarf for my Dad

so basically i tried getting everyone something under 50 dollars. the rest of the money ? well lets say i went a little christmas shopping for myself rolleyes.gif

so did any of you guys give anything to your family or friends for Christmas ?
i know i feel happy when i did _smile.gif

i try to limit myself to 20 bucks per person. unless if it's something i really want to get them, and something specific. then i'll splurge a little more.

I spent no money on anything! Unless you count the small prices of yarn and cheesecake supplies... And owning a computer.

Whatever, I benefited from those too. I didn't purchase them solely for the purpose of Christmas presents.

For my friends, I knitted Hogwarts scarves for them. I also baked cheesecake cupcakes. (Don't steal that idea, it's mine. If you do, you have to add a little star on each one leading to the footnote on the bottom of the wrapper saying it was my idea. Copyright 2005. All that stuff. Include contact info. XD)

Uhh. Oh yeah, I also took pictures of the people they liked. I got a good one of this one guy, so I edited in my friend's head on to his girlfriend. It was quite the.. bleh, I dunno. But everyone wanted to see it and said it was creepy. (Photoshop CS2 really is awesome for this sort of stuff. Vanishing Point helped.. and the lighting effects. But, well, that's not a new feature of CS2. Match Colors helped.. FUNFUNFUN. Hahah. I feel like a good stalker.)

And I printed out computer illustrated greeting cards.

I feel so awesome. :)

So far, I've gotten...

Mom: a mug that says "mother" on it and has some cheesy poem on it..
Dad: the same mug except for "father"
Brother: a pair of leprechaun boxers.. =p

I feel bad because I only spent about 40 bucks on my family, whereas for my boyfriend alone I spent 80 bucks! But I'll get them more stuuuuff.

I only got presents for 6 best friends this year, my boyfriend, plus my secret santa.. I cheaped out on presents for my other friends, but I wrote em all cards so it's all good!

A good girl friend: Spongebob Christmas ty beanie buddy and Mariah Carey greatest hits CD
Three good girl friends: A reindeer stuffy with a bathbomb inside, and other little goodies
Good guy friend: Adidas t-shirt and mini texas holdem set
Another good guy friend: Tickets to accompany me to the Canucks vs. Flames game on Boxing Day
Boyfriend: Eddie Bauer sweater and James Blunt CD
Secret Santa: Adidas tmac t-shirt

For secret santa, I gave her an FYE giftcard inside of a duct-tape wallet.
For my friend, I got her those 45 Lindt chocolate truffles ($10)
My family, probably nothing because I have no money.

I have an extended family of elves, so after they are done working I give them a 6 month vacation to any place they would like to travel. Don't be surprised if you see an elf in the Bahamas while you are vacationing.
