layout site issues, layout code is acting up... Options

All right. I made a layout site. I have the codes for the layouts so people may use them, but there is one problem. When I put the code in the entry and submit the entry, it makes the codes for links actual links, and half the code is gone because it is performing the code. Does anyone know how to make it so it shows the entire code shows and how to disable the iy so I can display it for people to use?
I understand that my wording is a bit unclear, so here is the actual site so you can see what I am talking about.

I do it all the time, just post that in you "edit html" part of you entry.
