I feel bad for resorting to an online forum to get advice, but I'm sorta desperate..

My boyfriend is on vacation in Asia. Today, he called me and we chatted for a while and it was all good. Then out of nowhere, he says,

"I'm so thankful I'm dating a Canadian girl... a few days ago me and my friends went out and I bought this girl a drink because she was my friend's friend.. and just because I bought her that one drink she wouldn't let go of my hand for the whole night. I was like 'uh.. wanna let go of my hand?' It was so annoying!"

And now I'm thinking.. okay? Why did you tell me this? What is he implying? Should I put up with this crap that he seems to be throwing at me? Arrrrgh I'm thinking that either he wants to make himself look better by implying that girls want him, or that he's being partially honest so he can do things and get away with them. Either way.. I don't like it!

Maybe he was telling you because he felt guilty, and wanted to tell you himself before other people could, or anything else bad could happen because he didnt tell you.

But thats just one possibility.

He may just want more attention from you because he's away from you or whatever. Maybe he wants you to think that girls want him so you would pay more attention to him or compiment him more, bleh..I can't really explain it. It happened to my friend once.

Hm, well I think your boyfriend really misses you, he's probably just as worried that you are going to find someone else at home. He's probably trying to be honest about the situation, make you a tad bit jealous to be sure you still care, and maybe kinda putting himself in the "good guy" scenerio. I think it's a mixture of all 3 of those. Either way, just kinda brush it off for now, we all have those moments. However, if it happens again, just kinda tell him that you'd rather not have him talk about that stuff with you. I can understand why that would bother you, It would def bother me. I hope things work out, and don't worry, he won't be on vacation forever =)

then hes telling you this because he feels that he is comfortable enough in the relationship that he can talk about it with you. he mustve been so comfortable, he didnt realize that this would make you jealous. to him it was just something that happened. to you, it mustve been like omg, i will destroy the world.

he probably just felt really bad about what happened, and thought that he should tell you first. you should be glad that he's actually doing that, unless it happens a few more times, don't worry about it

well to me, he's just telling you what happened. He doesn't want to keep it a secret or anything, and wants you to know. Maybe he thought that you possibly could find out in the future, and then would get mad at him, because he didn't tell you.

In my past experiences though, I've learned that guys hate being confronted. This is something I can get over and let go of without talking to him about it, but I just want to know what he might have meant.
