Hi.
Umm...well...okay, how do I put this? For a while, I've been studying different religions and stuff. I read a lot of books about the Bible for a while, and I've formed my own opinions about it and stuff. I've been an atheist for a long time, and then, I considered Christianity. I really gave it a lot of thought, and I just prayed for Jesus to come into my life. I have said with my mouth that Jesus is Lord, and I have asked him to forgive my sins and save me. I feel confused and unsure right now, since no one else in my house is a Christian. I have asked God for guidance and support, but I still feel unsure. Is this normal? |

Yes it is normal.. Its perfectly normal to feel unsure because maybe you dont know much about the religion as you thought. Also, When you asked god for his support and guidance did you actually do it with faith and utmost trust in him? or were u just unsure.. Because from what I;ve known You have to have a little faith at least. Gods the awesomest ^_^ You have to trust him and believe in him. Its hard to explain but its kinda like saying sorry you know how theres a difference in when u really mean or when u just say it? yea dats kinda how faith and trust in god is. Maybe thats why u still feel unsure idk if this well help you but yea..

I did it with utmost faith. I wanted him to enter my heart very badly, and I have faith in him now. If I ever need guidance and support, which I do now, I trust that He will lead me the right way.
Thank you for your advice, though. |

o congrats
![]() it's completely normal to feel unsure, since it's a turning point. but if you talk about it with your family, i'm sure they'll support you. talk to your other friends who are Christians. they can help you with 'starting' i guess. whenever you start going to church regularly, maybe try to bring your family too. but before that, a really good way to feel more comfortable about it is going to summer camps (that's a while away, but sometimes there are retreats in the middle of the year). you can talk about christianity with counselors and make new friends, and just spend some time with God |

i have to say that i am very happy for you. :)
and yes it is normal, its totally normal. God will forgive anyone and everyone for their sins no matter what it is u have done. dont feel like its not normal, because it is totally normal. like ppl have already said if u still feel unsure just talk to some friends that are christian and ask them any qestions that u are concerned with. im sure they will be able to help you. :) |

Thanks for your support, guys! I told my mother about this, but she was fairly worried. I feel happier now, and I'm thinking about going to a worship service today.

First of all i'd like to say congratulations! that's a pretty big step!
yes, that is very much usual to feel unsure about it, especially since you have no family that are christians and since you weren't raised(??) in a christian home! you just have to keep reading the word and put the word in your heart because that's what builds your faith and confidence in Christ! You will become more and more sure about it every day if you keep up a daily relationship that includes talking to God and reading your word! But, Congratulations! I'm proud of you and i don't even know you! lol |

that takes a lot to do. you should be proud of yourself. esp if no one else in your family is christian.

Like everyone has said its completely to feel a little unsure as it is with all new things. My advice to you is to go to church, listen to the sermons, and join the youth group. You will meet amazing people with which you are able to really feel comfortable and share your doubts with. Good luck and welcome to Christianity!

Yeah, absolutely normal. Especially since you're the only one in your family. What I would suggest is finding a Christian friend... it's easier once you have someone who you can talk to about it a lot.

Radhika it's completely normal to want to convert. If you find a bright future in God/Christinianty then go for it. Think about it, and see if you really want to go to church every week and go through confirmations and such.

Whoaaa.
I don't know how long ago I made this. >.< I've actually decided against conversion, and due to certain events in my life, I don't think now would be the best time to convert. Thank you for your support, everyone, but I was wondering if someone could close this? |
