Well I read that you at least got the text working, huh?
And your search bar won't disable? That's weird.
Underneath the music url box on your look & feel page, be sure the drop down menu is set to "Hide Search Bar".

well for one thing, you have b class nav.

you should use p class="nav" and in your stylesheet have p.nav {

you have "body" in your stylesheet twice.

CODE
<b class="nav">My life story</b><br>
You need to change those too silly. And stop repeating sections of your code! You disabled the modules twice and then told the comments page to be 245px, but later told the width to be auto. o.0 And you have extra } too. And you really ought to capitalize your font as in Arial, not arial.

Check your text settings.

Left is IE, right is Mozilla. No problems for me in either, so check your text settings. (Distortion is from filetype.)

Mozilla :: View -> Text Zoom
IE :: View -> Text Size
----
The larger you make it, the more distorted it tends to get.

Do you have a filter set to filter a certain color out? That code will make the text appear that way.
Nevermind I just checked... you do at the end of you code.
CODE
filter:chroma(color=#transp)

Try getting rid of that.
