Well... I upload my banner into my public_html/images folder, and when you go here: www.ryanoman.net/images , it won't show it and it won't load on my site. It has a blank spot. I checked the chmod, tried uploading it over and over again, and it won't work. Any ideas?

No, if you go to www.ryanoman.net/images... do you see that blank space? That's where the banner.jpg, which I've tried to upload many times, should be. I don't know what's wrong because I can upload other files, but this one won't work or show.

It is strange because I can view it in my ftp account. Also it's only for images called banner.jpg, if I do banner2.jpg, it works fine.

if your trying to make the banner show on that page you need a index file.

^yeah. I'm pretty sure that if any directory doesn't have an index file, all that will show up is a directory and your files.[unless you change the settings/permissions]

The banner really is there, you just can't see it. I've had the same problem with an entire site before and it's pretty frustrating.

Try doing a hard refresh (CTRL+F5), or what did it for me is typing the URL a different way. If you normally type www, leave it out and vice versa. I guess it's your computer loading what it remembers and not updating it for you; I don't know why it does that.

I'm seeing the banner just fine, so it's probably just your end over there. I'll bet if you were on a different computer you'd be able to see it.

Hmm... both of your suggestions havn't seemed to work. Thanks, though. This really is frustrating because I want to finish my web site. ermm.gif

If it was a cookie/cache issue, the Ctrl+F5 thing would have worked, but I'll still suggest clearing both your cookies and cache. Try loading it in another browser if possible?

.:edit:. And you're telling me that if you clicked either of these links it doesn't work?

Weird, cause seriously I'm seeing it just fine. =\

Well, what's also wierd is ryanoman.net/images in IE won't work, but it will in Firefox. I'm in contact with technical support, so I think we can resolve the problem.

EDIT: Someone please close this. I think it's a problem with my computer. Thanks for all your help, though.
