EDIT, of course..all of my crap out :p.
and the pictures 'coming out from behind' are just another DIV, but set to be behind the list DIV, so it appears to be coming out from it's sides. I don't know much about marquees, but it's pretty common knowledge, so I'm sure someone will be able to help you :D.
