New staff nominations discussion Options

We're looking to add to the staff team. Although only staff members are allowed to post in the actual nomination topic, you can influence their decisions by posting here who you think should be nominated and why.

Also, do not PM moderators to nominate you. If you are qualified enough you will be nominated. All PM's to moderators requesting a nomination will be ignored.

Lastly, this not a place you nominate you or someone else. This thread is to discuss the current nominees the staff has made.

i just realized most my cb friends are mods.

edit:// hmm. why do i think i should be nominated? i think i shoudl be nominated because i am an all around nice member. i am open to talk to anyone at any time. old members, new members, young, whatever. i am friendly and love to make new friends. i am also very active. i have been grounded once or twice, but im usually on every day. also, because i have been around cb forever. i know everyone pretty well and i'm well aware of everything. i know the rules, how this place runs, and all that stuff. i am also on at weird times when most moderators aren't on, such as the middle of the night and whatnot. not much goes on then, but you get the gist. i'm here whenever.

Well what can i say that can persuade u staff members i am worthy...

i like to help out alot when it comes to questions and advice (mostly relationship forum) and im open minded,i dont tend to judge people rite off the bat. I've been here for quite a while, took a long break but i recently have been at this forum like crazy. i know the rules of the forums, i know where things should go and i can connect with almost everyone who gives me the time of day. thats why i want to be peoples staff i guess o_O. not important but i was staff of another forum which i shouldnt mention cuz the host mite bicker at me for advertising.anywho... yea :} good day

To tell you the truth, after being gone for so long I feel a disconnection with the people, so I really do understand if I don't get nominated.

All I have is all your views and prior opinions of me when I was a People Staff half a year ago. Umm so I'll go with my original mission statement that I made last time: I only want to be People Staff so I can facilitate the exchange of community, information, and advice to different people of every part of the world. I feel I stuck with my goal throughout my time as People Staff. I really do feel like I did.

Of course, I will never, ever, ever forgive myself for creating that damn Moderator Performance thread. Personally, I was against the creation of it. From what I can tell, it just brought down more mods from their positions than help anyone at all. But I did it for the community. They wanted it, I did it, ensuing the creation of the feedback forum. Which I think is an ok forum. =]

So I won't make a horribly long bid like last time, but to reiterate my mission in being People Staff is not for power and all that but to help in the exchange of community, information, and advice.

To create a schema, I would be the guy w/ a white chef uniform replacing the food (information) in a buffet line.

So whatever you feel like, no bid or yes bid, I know you guys still know I love ya guys and gals! =]

I think you should be nominated.
You definitely did a great job when you were one, and I believe that you can contribute more if you are back as staff.

I also go for the active by-law mods to become actual mods.

hmm...dont think of this as a plea to get nominated, but i really wouldnt mind. ive been on everyday since i switched usernames as appearant by my post count. i was a member of the bylaws committee so i know a little about modding. i dont look at modding as having powers to control the community, but as a right to help in controling the community. i also post in most of the introductions welcoming all the new people. i also am very active in the lounge and travel to pictures, entertainment, and sometimes the locker rooms as well.

I've addressed that to Mona. We couldn't afford the internet for three months so I was inactive. I started another account to become an official member (I was an official member before we got our phone cut off) but I decided it was too confusing and not everything can be solved by a new account. Hopefully CB's staff can see that I am much more active and that I care about the community. I have experience and a special place for CB in my heart. [/corny]

Paradox of Life: Katt would make a great People Staff member because she is mature, intelligent and an active member. Sure, she's gotten into some spats, but overall, she would be an excellent choice. I have only positive things to say about her.

The other person I'd like to suggest is Meli (Fabio.) Meli has been on CB for a very long time, she is a talented designer, and one of CB's most brightest stars. There are a lot of welcoming people here, Meli is definitly one of them.

I suggest Toby(electric shock) to be nominated. Even though she stepped down from her position, I still think she would be a great contribution to the staff. She helped change a lot during her modding period. She knows what to do everytime. She's often active and she has the skills.

Moderator Hiring Process
1) Mods nominate people they want for any category, no matter their category.
2) There is no minimum of nominations we must have, but the maximum for each separate category is 10.
3) Once all the nominations are said and done, polls are made for each category with the nominations.
4) The community votes on those previously made nominations on who they think is best.
5) Heads and Admins use both the community and mod input to make their final decision.
6) New mods are hired.

i just went through and counted, and there are 15 different people nominated for people staff as of now.

i just feel that, as personality IS a big part of people staffness, individulas have different ideas of the right personality. and, because we ar efriends with the people we view as having the best personality (to an extent), thats who they nominate

or, they are just corrupt, but i have a sunny positive nature

Well, you have to admit, some of those nominated...meh, it is suprising. They haven't really shown any shining qualities and just have a lot of friends. It may be people staff, but I really don't think that staff members should nominate kids because it is their best cb pal. I just don't see the mod. in some of those nominated.

oh i abosloutely agree that there are people on the list who shouldnt be staff. i dont dislike them personally, but i would rather not seee cassie, bella, or melissa made people staff over some of the other candidates.

It's narrowed to 10 because we can only fit 10 in a poll. Those who get the most nominations out of everyone will be put on the poll.
