Not really, it reminds me of the old-fashioned days when women had to squish their feet in order to look pretty.

i'd assume that pants that you can buy for a dollar would be hideous or falling apart...

i would never want jeans that are tight around my ankles. i used to have a pair a few years ago...i have no idea where they went.

they look pretty cool... unless they were completely straight (like it's nice how it's slightly baggy at the bottom) but i think only certain ppl can wear them. i haven't tried on a pair like that... i'll look around for one.

yeah i don't really like them. I agree that only some types can wear them, but still, to me they don't really look good. they remind me of the 80s, with holes in them and oversized shirts and huge hair. EW.

Yeah I looked through a couple of my mom's old pictures and I saw her wearing jeans like the ones you described. I think that's how jeans were orginally made before they made it more loose around the ankles.

I work for denim company. In NYC those are the best selling jeans. I love them. you just have to figure out what to wear with.
First of all, if you are size 29 and up, forget it. stick with boot cuts.

Cigarret Cut Denim or Skiny Jeans whatever tight Jeans, You can try with a short dress or regular top with riding boots or cowbow boots.

I wear them with tunic top with my vans and it looks awsome.

Oh yes, the "normal" jean. I love them. They were bigger years ago and now they're coming back, thank goodness. I have been waiting ages for the flare to die a painful death lol. Sorry, they're just really ugly. To close to "bell-bottoms" in my opinion. Besides, if you've got the body for it nothing looks better than normal jeans with heels or stilletto boots. But you can't be super skinny, that just looks nasty. I think to properly pull off a normal jean you need some curve to you. Otherwise it'll really emphasize skinny legs and sorry, I like women with curves.

Boot cut jeans are also a close alternative if you can't pull of(perhaps literally) normal jeans.

Acctually if I'm not mistaken jeans like this became big during the begining years of punk. So unless you're about 30 I don't think you've started this trend. tongue.gif

I've seen that a lot too. From what I've noticed its usually cause they want flared jeans but they just won't do that to boys jeans and if they are flared its not nearly as much as girls jeans.

DragonFly Above about boot cut jeans in nyc but I'm in SOHO area all the time I see those jeans everyday.
OK, not everyone follows trend in NYC and I dont think u should follow trend if it dosent work for your body.
Skiny jeand are not for everybody. You have to have kinda nice body for that. It just show off everything you got.

no metter what trend goes around I personlay think you have to wear something that makes your body look better than what you have.

ah most definately. it's been a huge thing in asia for a couple of years now, so i've had trouble finding flares. sad.gif

but like gigi said, you need to have a supermodel body for skinny jeans, or if you're petite, you just have to be superduperly skinny.
