i searched and came up with nothing, but feel free to close this if there is already a similar topic.
Soo...i just watched "See no evil, hear no evil", and it made me think---would you rather be born blind or deaf? I think i'd rather be born deaf. It seems a lot easier to adapt to your surroundings if you couldn't hear. you could learn how to read peoples' lips and learn sign language to understand what they're trying to say. on the other hand, not being able to see seems to be a lot harder to live with. you always need someone to guide you and help you to find where you're going. |

probably deaf.
but being blind lets you get to know people and not judging them by appearance. you can also fine tune your other senses then you can if you were deaf. if it were for survival purposes, i'd choose blind (if i had maybe three years to train my ears). |

For a designer that would really suck, but I'd rather never know what color is than what music is. Being deaf would scare me, really. I'd rather not see. And then nobody could ever accuse me of liking people just because they're cute.

Be Deaf, becuz u could do more things while being deaf like, to see wut u, your friends, and your family look like. you couldn't do all of that if u wur blind. and plus if i was death, i would kno how to use sign language

I would rather be deaf because if I were blind, I couldn't do many things on my own. If I were deaf, I could still watch TV(w/ Closed Captioning), go on the computer, play video games, and a lot of other stuff.

deaf...id rather be able to see everything, than not be able to see and just here. you're still able to communicate if you're deaf, but its harder if you're blind because you cant use word associations.
i could have sworn there was something like this before though. maybe it got moved out with all the old posts. |

Deaf. Because I could still communicate to people with sign language...and seeing where I'm going would be pretty important. If I was blind, yeah I could talk to people. But it would be harder I think. I'd probably die from walking into walls or something.
